3. • Is it comfy?
This car has many attributes taking into account its
size. It is very comfortable and I some time ago did
800 miles in a weekend without backache or any
aches come to think of it, throughout my 6-2?
Stature. Two friends had a go and both are six
footers and going on for 15/20stone and they also
supposed it was surprisingly comfy. The auto box
(automatic gearbox) certainly takes the choir out of
driving though? Especially traffic jams. drive smart
4. • OK, believe it or not, that tiny 698cc, three
cylinder engine (with two spark plugs) does in
fact speed up to at least fifty MPH. However,
come up to a bend to fast and the under
steering is unbelievable. This is not the car to
take to the maximum. Because you have to
prompt yourself of the very short wheelbase.

5. • PARKING. Right away this is where it noticeably
shines being as small as the regular family home
floor to ceiling (2500mm x 1500mm wide)
parking is easy. On many occasions I was able to
park it perpendicular (how smart is that) to the
kerb, but even when sometimes this is not
achievable, parallel parking is a doddle. And
driving in windy conditions can be very
interesting.
6. • LIVING THE SMART WAY
• I personally, like most, expect to maintain more than one buddy, so
it can be irritating not having those additional two seats in the rear,
even when comparing it to a three door. Storage space in the back is
surprisingly useful and I reckon a standard size suit case may well fit
in the back, I have had a vast rucksack, a standard rucksack and a
Suzuki V-twin engine inside the back successfully. Because of the
engine heat I do not advise putting fresh food in the back it gets
sweltering. The engine, should you fancy checking oil levels/water is
straightforward to access by removing the back tidy trim and
opening up a metal cover panel. Be warned though, the metal panel
gets very very hot, sufficient to burn your hands! In fact, you may
well want to try frying an egg on it one day (very smart car). The two
back flaps open up and down so you may possibly sit in/on the back
and watch some smart car racing or something, with a little
protection from rain. I have had the back open during rain and only
a little gets in.
