4. This project keep the detailed information of every student
get admitted in disha college .the information contain
detailed description from first day of student to last day
of student in disha.
Objective

5. The main purpose of this project is to:
•Keep account of each exam and activities.
•Keep the attendance detail of student.
•Keep fees detail of student.
•Keep previous academic record of student.
•We can easily keep account of students performance and
analyze there progress.
•Keep information of overall participation in institutes
activities.
•Manage report of the student according to academic
performance.
•Manage records of students.
•Keep all information in centralized manner so we can
easily access information about the student.
•Gives speed to work performance.

Problem of definition
Some of the problems being faced in manual system are as follows:
•Manual systems use registers or files to manage the students information
which cause various problems :-
•It is tuff to handle heterogeneous collection of registers & files.
•They are not easily portable but it is tuff to carry bunch of registers and
files every time
•There is no provision of data backup and recovery.
•We can not store them for so long time after all they are made by peper.
•Existing System is not centralized i.e every department had a separate file
for same information i.e data redundancy.

Problem of definition
In existing system to get complete information about any student
activity etc. we have to collect data from various different files.
Existing system cannot provide complete information about any
particular student, event or activity etc in a prescribed format.
Manual operations make the system costly.
Existing system is not secured. Any one can access it and change it.

8. VISUA STUDIO 2012 -
Visual Studio 2012 is used as front end tool in our
application. Visual studio 2012 is a most popular object
oriented driven programming language. It revolves
around ready made object .It is event driven i.e. all the
activities in a program are triggered by one event or
another. The main advantage of visual programming
language is that we can concentrate on what we want our
program to do, not how to get the programming language
to do it.

9. MS ACCESS:-
This is a backend tool widely used for personal computer
as a database. The relational database is a well defined
theoretical model of working with and managing a set of
data that attends to three specifying things.
Data structures
Data integrity
Data manipulation.

manual work, by using this software we can easily
maintain the details of the product by entering the
item type and item name.
 It is used to maintain the records of Products
 It also generates a report at the end

41. This project proved good for me as it provided
practical knowledge of not only programming in
VB.NET and MS Access, desktop based application, but
also about all handling procedure related with
“STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM”. It also
provides knowledge about the latest technology used in
developing desktop enabled application that will be
great demand in future. This will provide better
opportunities and guidance in future in developing
projects independently.
