New  trends,  food  safety  and  health  are  three  important  topics  
characterize  the  medias  coverage  of  food.  Mannov’s  latest  survey,  which  
annually  iden<fies  the  food  landscape  in  the  media,  confirms  this.  Read

seems that after years of
focusing on reducing fat and
sugar we now aim for
enjoyment. Health depends on
balance, wellness and exercise.
Say goodbye to light products
and hello to chocolate, butter
and heavy cream. Just remember
to go for a run afterwards -that
is the new attitude.
Our senses manipulate us, also
when it comes to food.A red
cup makes a drink to seem
sweeter; firm foods seem
healthier. Neuro- gastronomy is
a whole new trend, and
upcoming year's version of
molecular gastronomy
The protein wave rolls on in
2015. More and more choose to
prioritize protein in their diet.A
new trend is that we are trying
to find alternative protein
sources than meat in the form
of fish, lentils, seaweed and
insects.
The fridge is filled with food,
and the only one who benefits
from it, is the trash. However,
we have become better at
reducing food waste, which
means that recipes based on left
overs, smaller portions on the
plate and a smarter
arrangement of the products at
the supermarkets are gaining
traction.
Danish consumers want organic
products.Where we previously
limited our organic shopping for
basic commodities, we are now
all-in on the issue and are filling
the cart with organic product.
The consumer does not want
factory farmed chickens.
Something new is that we also
want welfare for the fish. MSC-
labeled fish – that is sustainable
fishing without exploiting
resources or the environment -
gets increasing attention and the
demand is expected to increase
even more in the coming years.
We want easy, healthy and
authentic quality food.We just
prefer not to make it ourselves.
Luckily food producers are
meeting us half way with the
everyday kitchen routines: new
peeled potatoes, stone-baked
pizza bottoms, pre-cut
vegetables and hamburgers
already formed.
We are used to the hot dog
stand and the rolling rotary.Try
replacing sausages and kebabs
with quality food from the
cuisines from all over the world
served by a chef right outside
your door.That is the essence
of the new food trucks that
drive around and offer food to
busy businessmen and hungry
shoppers.
The longer time you are at a
store, the more money you
spend. But it takes something
unique to hold on to the
modern consumer, and
therefore many of the major
fashion houses have begun to
integrate fashionable
restaurants / cafes as part of
their business concept.
Most of us could do without the
bitter afternoon mood in the
slow line at the supermarket
and the increasing digitization of
our purchases makes it possible.
More people do their shopping
online, and also in the
restaurants it is now possible to
get your food designed and
served through orders from the
Smartphone.
