elow are the highlights of the conversation
between Swiftnlift Business Magazine and
BANAHUB. The company was founded by
Ibthisam (Director) and Bashayar (Manager) in
the year 2019. We are glad to share this exclusive
interview with all the readers.
BANAHUB
Tell us about your company. Its vision
and mission.
BANAHUB - is an industry enabler that connects
individuals and businesses in the creative
industry. That includes talents and professionals
from different industries and businesses to their
needs.
Mission: One-stop enabler hub creative industry.
What were the constraints you faced
at the time of inception?
Initially, the BANA spent four years conducting
research, conducting interviews, and gaining field
experience with me in order to better understand
the industry. For me, each step opened a new door
that led to the current BANAHUB. It had been
pitched in a competition, had been incubated
and checked, and was now ready to go. Pandemic
hit and shook the world, as well as the business
world, to our surprise.
It took us five months to get back up and running,
so we had to pivot to get back on track. Pandemic
broadened my horizons and provided me with
new ways to grow the company and focus on
my beliefs. It gave me the courage to work on it
despite the difficulties, and I couldn't have done
it without the help of my family, friends, and our
team.
What services do you provide to the
customers?

3. BANALOG - Inhouse Megazine
4. Creative Education (navigating career
PATHway)
5. Program organizing (Events, exhibition,
interviews, etc.)
How do you manage to work in
different areas?
One of my favourite things to do is explore the
creative industry and organise activities, which I
am doing now as part of this startup journey. Now
that I have a team of talented, adventurous, and
inspired young people on my team, it fuels our
desire to learn more about our mission and to help
as many artists as possible all over the world.
How do you navigate the art world?
In the art world, there are two sides: the corporate
side and the artistic side. I'm more interested in
the latter, the artistic side of the art
world, the people who work there,
their journeys, and how they inspire
others. I see a lot of common ground in
artists from media, literature, and fashion,
not only in art, but in other fields as well.
Painting or crafting has provided me with a
great deal of inspiration and has assisted me in
discovering myself. Many artists discover their
passion and talents later in life, and there are no
restrictions on who can follow them.
Social networking has become an integral part of
how artists show their work to the public, as well
as how we, as service providers and fans, discover
art that we then search out in person. The benefits
are undeniable, but the drawback is that there
are so many fish in the ocean, and the algorithm
determines what you can see.
Which current art world trends are
you following? What do you think are
the challenges in the industry today?
I'm particularly interested in abstracts, paintings,
14. and any other types of art that express a person's
ethnicity or culture in a modern way.
Due to an unforeseen pandemic, the creative
industry has been severely impacted since last
year. Regarding the safety precautions, libraries,
concert and event halls, galleries, and theatres are
all closed. The sudden decline in sales has put their
financial stability in jeopardy, resulting in lower
wages and layoffs.
During the lockdown, some cultural and creative
industries, such as online content outlets, benefited
from the increased demand for cultural content
streaming. The consequences are long-lasting due
to a general decline in buying power; however, at
the local level, the lack of responsive public funding
has an impact on cities and regions in terms of
employment and revenues, levels of creativity,
resident well-being, and community vibrancy and
diversity.
What is your strategy to reach new
industries and new customers?
To engage with our target audiences, our approach
is to track trends and technology. We believe
in making a difference in people's lives, so we're
15. growing our community and developing
initiatives to explore various possibilities.
Which of your projects are you proud
of and why? Also, tell us about your
future ventures.
We're very proud of how far BANAFEST and our
sub-brand, IMMENSE, have come. Workshops,
artist partnerships, novel publishing,
competitions, and more are all on the horizon.
How did you come up with the idea
of BanaFest?
While studying the creative industry, I spoke
with a number of creatives from diverse
backgrounds from all over the world. It was
fascinating and inspiring to hear their stories
about their journeys and their passion for
what they do, and it inspired me to record and
celebrate it, so BANAFEST was born to honour
the creatives and their work. We have art, media,
authors, and fashion categories for BANAFEST
2021. In March, we held our first BANAFEST -
ART. The artists shared their stories and creative
journeys, with artists from all over the world
participating.
In May, BANAFEST WRITERS will take place.
It's a celebration of authors and a chance for
them to tell their stories. There will be pre-shoot
interviews, and they will have the opportunity to
meet and network with other authors involved
in the festival.
Tell us about your achievements and
recognition.

bine brandable names, competitive prices, and excellent
service to make the most of your domain registration.
Holding the world's largest private portfolio of domain
names, we offer you over 4 million domains to choose
from and add new domains to our portfolio daily.
We've been online since 2005 and in that time have
helped thousands of customers find their perfect do-

Buying a new domain name should be exciting. You’ve
got a plan for building a new site, or maybe you might
be upgrading one you’ve already built — yet sometimes
it seems better to put off making a big purchase. Perhaps
you’re not ready to make that financial commitment.
We understand that not everyone can pay the full price
for a domain name up-front. Payment plans allow you
to start using the domain right away while paying off
the balance over time. Please note that not all domains
are eligible for a payment plan. Contact our customer
support for more information.

we provide only the highest quality, premium
domain names at unbeatable prices. With our top-
of-the-line customer support at your disposal, we’ll
help you make the most of your domain acquisition
and registration.
Quick access to your domain
In most cases access to the domain will be available
within one to two hours of purchase, however access
to domains purchased after business hours will be
available within the next business day. We create an
account for you at the domain's current registrar,
NameBright.com, where you'll be able to manage the
domain.
If you're purchasing the domain outright, you'll
be able to transfer the domain to any registrar —
remember that we cannot accept returns on domains
that have been transferred. If you finance the domain
with a payment plan, you can still manage the
domain, but it will have a registrar lock preventing
the transfer until the payment plan is completed.
Financing options
Because domains are one-of-a-kind and sell fast, if
you don't get the one you want today, someone else
might buy it. For this reason we provide a variety of
payment options designed to make your decision
easier and more streamlined. Choose from Escrow.
com, payment plans, PayPal, and more. We also offer
a variety of payment plans, so financing the domain
right for you is easier than ever.
How payment plans work?
When a domain is purchased on a payment plan, it
will be transferred to your own account at the registrar
NameBright.com. The domain will have a registrar lock
until all payments on the domain have been made. As we
have a specific arrangement with NameBright, anytime
a payment in the payment plan is missed, the domain
will stop working until you make another payment.
Once all payments have been rendered, the lock will be
removed from the domain. You will be given full own-
ership of the domain, and you will be allowed to trans-
fer the domain to any registrar of your choice. If month-
ly payments are missed 3 consecutive months in a row,
you will be in default. The domain will be returned to
its previous owner and the sales contract will be null
and void.
■ No interest or finance charges.
■ No obligations – cancel your payment plan anytime.
■ You have full access to the domain.
■ Own the domain when all payments are made.

22. Conspiracy theories about 5G networks
have skyrocketed since COVID-19
The advent of 5G has raised many concerns among
people, to the extent that anti-5G movements have
emerged in various countries in recent months.
Some extreme right-wing groups have even developed
conspiracy theories linking 5G to the COVID-19
pandemic. Some activists have gone as far as setting
fire to telecommunications towers in Belgium, the
Netherlands and recently in Québec. A couple from
Sainte-Adèle has been formally accused of setting fire
to two cellphone towers; allegedly, they are behind a
wave of fires that damaged at least seven towers in the
northern suburbs of Montréal.
The false news concerning 5G spread at lightning
speed on social networks, relayed by influencers and
celebrities and reinforcing the fears of people who were
already suspicious of 5G’s potential health effects.
These conspiracy theories argue, for example, that the
spread of the virus from the epicentre of the pandemic
in Wuhan, China, is linked to the large number of 5G
towers in the city. In reality, a 5G network is not even
fully deployed there. Other theories falsely claim that
the waves emitted by the 5G infrastructure would
weaken our immune system.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has had to

23. warn the public about misinformation related to 5G
telephone networks, insisting that the networks do not
spread COVID-19 and that viruses do not circulate over
radio waves or mobile networks. Moreover, COVID-19
is spreading in many countries that do not even have a
5G mobile network.
A Revolutionary Technology
The fifth generation of wireless communication
technologies, 5G is expected to better cope with the
explosion of global data traffic predicted in the coming
years. In addition to improving the technical capabilities
of the 4G network, this new standard crosses the
ultimate frontier essential for massive and simultaneous
communications between machines.
Among its impacts, 5G will accelerate the automation
of industries, the introduction of autonomous vehicles,
the development of smart cities, telehealth and remote
surgery. All this will be made possible by three main
factors: increased connection speeds through improved
use of high-frequency bands, reduced latency and the
use of next-generation infrastructure such as small
directional antennas. These antennae with signal relay
devices can be integrated into street fixtures, buildings,
transport and utilities to support targeted signal
distribution.
No Danger to Human Health
Several scientists are concerned about the possible
effects of exposure to electromagnetic fields generated
by devices connected to the 5G network.
Some studies report symptoms observed in “electro
sensitive” people such as stress, headaches, heart
problems and impaired cognitive functions (memory,
attention, coordination) in children. Nevertheless,
there is no scientifically proven diagnosis and no
causal link can be established today between these
symptoms, which remain inexplicable, and exposure to
electromagnetic fields.
Research validated by the WHO and health authorities
in several countries — including Canada — conclude
at this time that 5G does not pose a danger to human
health, given national and international standards that
limit exposure to radio frequencies
It is already an established fact that electromagnetic
waves, such as those emitted by microwave ovens,
household appliances, computers, wireless routers, cell
phones and other wireless devices, are non-ionizing.
Unlike X-rays or ultraviolet rays, they are not powerful
enough to reach the cells of the human body and affect
our immune system.
The Object of All Fears
The use of 5G has become a controversial issue,
crystallizing society’s concerns. It is not the first time
(and won’t be the last) that technological progress
has been challenged by irrational fear generated by
uncertainty about the risks of a technology perceived
as invasive.
However, the overwhelming enthusiasm of technophiles
and other “early adopters” of technological innovations
should not lead us into the “technological solutionism”
that would present 5G as the new life-saving technology.
On the other hand, the scepticism of technophobes
and the opposition of anti-5G activists and conspiracy
seekers must not lead us into collective paranoia.
Between these two extremes — and in the current
context of a paradigm shift — we recommend a third
way: reinventing society’s relationship with technology
in a rational way. The time has come for businesses,
publicauthoritiesandcitizenstoquestionthechallenges,
opportunities, vices and virtues of the widespread
digitization of society. The deployment of 5G is part of
this process and represents both a new challenge and an
opportunity for societal progress.
It is possible to embrace the promises of digital
transformation without neglecting to take the necessary
precautions for health and the environment. We must
not fall into technological determinism and believe that
we have no power over these technologies.

Company Background
Operating since 2013, NetVirta originally built its
technology for the most discerning customers -
doctors demanding medical-grade accuracy. Using
our technology, clinicians all over the world scan their
patients to inform the production of custom orthotics
and prosthetics. This technology soon made its way
into the sports equipment industry, allowing for the
creation of custom-fit football helmets.
Recently, NetVirta has expanded their reach into
markets in need of better sizing tools. With a 40+
person team, 90% of which are computer scientists
and engineers, we continue to act as a leader in the
3D-body scanning industry and are passionate about
innovating 3D scanning technology to eventually
improve the overall customer buying experience.
NetVirta is headquartered in downtown Boston and
Singapore.

28. NOZOMI
A Simple Price
Tracking Engine
Capable Of
Dynamically
Supporting New
Exchange Endpoints.
NICHOLAS CHEN
CO-FOUNDER
The story of Nozomi
Back in 2018, Nicholas took a week to come up with
a simple price tracking engine capable of dynamically
supporting new exchange endpoints.
Fast forward a month later, Nicholas traveled to Japan as
part of his graduation trip from Singapore Polytechnic.
After spending a couple of days exploring the beautiful
city of Osaka, he decided to travel to Kyoto and Japan in
the search for more jaw-dropping scenery. Throughout
the journey, he was always on a train, specifically,
a shinkansen (also known as a bullet train) called
Nozomi. Since traveling took hours between cities, he
gained a curiosity in the complexity of the transport
system in Japan and went on to explore the web to learn
more about the transport infrastructure in Japan while
commuting and was astonished to find the reliability,
efficiency, and speed of the shinkansen.
Since the tracking engine did not bear any name at
the point of time, it struck him that the engine should
be named after the most modern shinkansen to date,
Nozomi. To Nicholas, Nozomi embodies the qualities
of the Nozomi shinkansen, capable of delivering data
quickly, reliably, and efficiently.

30. Why do people still use fax machines?
The fax machine is a symbol of obsolete technology
long superseded by computer networks – but faxing is
actually growing in popularity.
Businesses often use faxes
Faxing remains alive and well, especially in Japan and
Germany – and in major sectors of the U.S. economy,
such as health care and financial services. Countless
emails flash back and forth, but millions of faxes travel
the world daily too.
A worldwide survey in 2017 found that of 200 large
firms, defined as companies with more than 500
employees, 82 percent had seen workers send the same
number of, or even more, faxes that year than in 2016. A
March 2017 unscientific survey of 1,513 members of an
online forum for information technology professionals
found that 89 percent of them still sent faxes.
The persistence of faxing – and the people who send
faxes – is in part because the fax industry has adapted
to accommodate new technologies. Fax machines still
dominate,butbothsurveyssuggesteduserswereshifting
to computer-based services, such as fax servers that let
users send and receive faxes as electronic documents.
Cloud-based fax services, which treat faxes as images
or PDF files attached to emails, are also becoming
more popular. These new systems can transmit faxes
over telephone lines or the internet, depending on the
recipient, handling paper and electronic documents
equally easily.
Legal acceptance
Fax’s longevity also benefits greatly from reluctance –
both legal and social – to accept email as secure and an
emailed electronic signature as valid. Faxed signatures
became legally accepted in the late 1980s and early
1990s in a series of legal and administrative decisions
by state and federal agencies. The Electronic Signatures
Act in 2000 also gave digital signatures legal power but
institutional and individual acceptance followed only
slowly – if at all.
Why do people still use fax
machines?
30 MAY 2021 SwiftNLift
31. Evenpartsofthefederalgovernmentpreferredfaxesover
email for many years thereafter. Not until 2010 did the
Drug Enforcement Agency allow electronic signatures
for Schedule II drugs like Ritalin and opiates, which
comprised about 10 percent of all prescriptions. That
meant a pharmacist could accept a faxed prescription
but not one scanned and sent by email.
Faxing and medicine
Another reason faxing hangs on is because competing
technologies are weak. The health care industry
generates huge amounts of data for each patient. That
should make it fertile ground for a fully digital record-
keeping system, “where data can flow easily between
patient, provider, caregivers, researchers, innovators
and payers,” as Seema Verma, the head of the Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid Services, put it in a speech
earlier this year.
Federal privacy laws and deliberately incompatible
standards, however, stand in the way. Immediately after
the passage of the 1996 Health Insurance Portability
and Accountability Act, fax vendors retooled their
transmission, reception and storage systems and
procedures to protect patients’ personal records.
Specifically, HIPAA-compliant fax systems ensure the
correct number is dialed and limit who can see received
faxes. Digital patient-information systems have
struggled to meet the same standards of administrative,
technical and physical security.
The Obama administration spent more than US$25
billion encouraging doctors and hospitals to adopt
electronic medical records systems. Crucially, rather
than forcing competing systems to be compatible in
order to receive federal support, the administration
believed the market would decide on a standard to
communicate.
What actually happened was that competing companies
deliberately created incompatible systems. Doctors’
offices and hospitals that use different records databases
can’t communicate with each other digitally – but they
can via fax. For many medical professionals, particularly
independent physicians, faxing is far easier than dealing
with expensive, hard-to-use software that doesn’t
actually do what it was supposed to: securely share
patient information.
Comfortable inertia
One more personal factor preserving faxing is users’
reluctance to change. Small businesses who find that
faxing meets all their needs have little reason to spend
the money and effort to try a new technology for
document exchange. Every company that prefers faxes
inherently encourages all its customers and suppliers to
keep faxing too, to avoid messing up existing ordering
processes.
Absent a compelling reason or some management
or government mandate, people often don’t change
technologies. This is true beyond faxing: I drive a 2005
Camry. There are plenty of cars that are better in some
way – safer, more fuel-efficient, more comfortable –
but so long as the Camry passes state inspections and
performs adequately, I can avoid the challenges and
costs of buying a new car and learning how to use its
new features.
International popularity
Faxing is still popular overseas, too. In Britain, the 2000
Electronic Communications Act encouraged but did
not explicitly authorize electronic signatures. In 2018,
urged partly by the European Union’s promotion of
electronic identification, the British Law Commission
concluded that electronic signatures were indeed legal
but needed significant promotion to increase their
acceptance and use.
Not surprisingly, a recent survey found that Britain’s
National Health Service operated more than 8,000 fax
machines. In response, the U.K.‘s Secretary of State for
Health and Social Care Matt Hancock labelled faxing a
symbol of National
Nevertheless, faxing continues because it remains
better – cheaper, more convenient, more secure, more
comfortable – than the alternatives for many people,
businesses and organizations. Faxing will remain
important until transmitting digital data becomes
easier and more accepted. That could be a long way
off, though. U.S. federal initiatives are trying to make
medical records systems more compatible, but no one
has yet been hired to take a key leadership position at
CMS.
Eventually, the older generation of people more
comfortable with faxing than emailing will fade away.
Until then, however, fax machines will whirl away.

most companies have the foundation to implement

creative ways to problem solve.”
Puttingacreativeapproachinthedigitaltransformation,
companies need to have a clear business objective, vision
with an elaborate strategy for digital transformation.
Because a creative digital transformation approach is
one that requires quick and intuitive thinking, your
strategy will need to address more than hardware and
software.
However, rather than looking at the problems you’re
trying to solve with innovations, focus on your end
goal. What do you want to achieve? Consider long-term
goals and concentrate more on the experience you want
to create for your customers as well as employees.
Methodology
Vision and Goals: Create some strategic goals and
vision when a company wants a new strategy. When
companies create their vision and goals, they directly
find out what they see as the result of their business
efforts.
Transformation Strategy & Plan: Before making
the strategy and plan efforts, and because of rapid
changes in the technology and market, is good that
doing some market analysis to order to create up

Strategy and Plan. It provides priority capabilities
and assesses capabilities. Better to find out expected
outcomes. There are several considerations factors
that will usually taken into account as depicts below.

■ Deliver beautiful experience
■ Implementation & Execution
■ Marketing elements
Adjustment of implementation & Organizational
Adaptability: Always align and look back the

Our Story
Work flexibility and healthy life balance is changing the
workplace more than ever. Here's why and how we are
embracing it.
The past few years have seen a rapid growth in demand
for working in a remote workplace away from the main
office or HQ and this growth pattern is very likely to
continue. According to a study by Global Workplace
Analytics, non-self-employed remote workers have
grown 140% since 2005. That’s 10 times faster than
the rest of the workforce. Between 2017 and 2019,
telecommuting saw a 22% increase.
The Generation Z workforce will change the workplace
as we know it, as this Generation prizes the work life
balance that remote working can give them. The rise of
the Gig Economy will also make remote working more
popular as freelancers demand the freedom that remote
working can give their gigs.
While the clearest benefit of work flexibility is greater
work life balance for employees, it also helps employers
attract and retain talent while boosting productivity.
However, many companies are still holding back
from fully embracing these desirable polices due
to management concerns such as: maintaining
productivity, communication collaboration, cyber-
security, data protection, risk and compliance, and the
availability of user support.
Hence,Beiteputtogetheracomprehensiveandcomplete

38. Creating a high-speed internet lane for
emergency situations
During large disasters, like hurricanes, wildfires and
terrorist attacks, people want emergency responders to
arrive quickly and help people deal with the crisis. In
order to do their best, police, medics, firefighters and
thosewhomanagethemneedlotsofinformation:Whois
located where needing what help? And what equipment
and which rescuers are available to intervene? With all
of the technology we have, it might seem that gathering
and sharing lots of information would be pretty simple.
But communicating through a disaster is much more
challenging than it appears.
The event itself can make communications worse,
damaging networks and phone systems or cutting
electricity to an area. And regular people often add to
the problem as they overload mobile networks with
calls, texts and other electronic messages checking on
loved ones or seeking help.
As researchers about digital networks and emergency
communications, we are developing a faster and more
reliable way to send and receive large amounts of data
through the internet in times of crisis. Working with
actual responders and emergency managers, we have
created a method for giving urgent information priority

a national emergency responder network initiative

internet connections, while giving priority to rescue
workers’ data.
Connecting networks
At the moment, it’s reasonably common for
communication networks to become overloaded
when disaster strikes. When lots of people try to make
cellphone calls or use mobile data, the networks get too
busy for calls to connect and messages to go through.
The problem is that standard methods for routing
traffic through the internet aren’t always able to handle
all those connections at one time. In technical terms,
the internet is a collection of more than 54,000 smaller
networks. Some of the networks that make up the
internet are quite large, like those belonging to major
internet service providers or large corporations, but
many of them are fairly small. No matter their size, each
of these networks has equipment that lets it route traffic
to each of the others.
Computer networks don’t all connect directly to each
other. And their digital addresses don’t help much –
we humans assume 12 Main Street and 14 Main Street
are next doors, but computers with similar numeric
addresses may not be physical neighbours to each other.
As a result, the router connecting each of these 54,000
networks to the rest of the internet must keep a list of
every one of its counterparts and the most efficient
way to reach each of them. This is like needing a list
of written directions for every place in the world you
might want to go.
This system, governed by the rules set out in the “border
gatewayprotocol,”workswellmostofthetime.Butwhen
it fails, there can be long delays in communications. In
fact, on average, 150 seconds (two and a half minutes)
can go by before a failure is identified. In that time, the
data just wait in an information traffic jam, not moving.
Online, milliseconds matter – hundreds of seconds are
effectively an eternity.
When one router detects a network failure, it has to let
all the others know what’s happened, and how to reroute
their traffic. This is like having just one traffic cop try to
coordinate rush hour around a major bottleneck. The
process takes at least several minutes, and sometimes
several hours. Until then, data in transit can be delayed
or lost entirely. In an emergency, that could mean the
difference between life and death.
Testing in the real world
Our system is designed to operate over the same internet
as everyone else, and without affecting other traffic. We
tested our system on the National Science Foundation’s
Global Environment for Network Innovations, a
collaborative effort among many universities around
the U.S. that allows researchers to develop networking
protocols and systems using real computers and
networking equipment located across the country. In
our case, we connected 27 computers together for our
tests, devised by RIT environmental, health and safety
students, many of whom are volunteer emergency
responders.
Our test – which we did in front of real emergency
commanders and personnel – compared our system to
the standard border gateway protocol. When we broke
links in the 27-node network, multi-node label routing
communications resumed within 12.5 seconds, which is
12timesfasterthantheregularbordergatewayprotocol’s
recovery speed. We can shorten that delay even more by
changing settings in our protocol’s configuration.
