2. Definition
• The way in which something is regarded,
understood, or interpreted.
• The more formal one:
“Perception is the organization, identification,
and interpretation of sensory information in
order to represent and understand the
environment”

achieving people is their perception of and
response to failure.

• Studies have shown that 90% of error in
thinking is due to error in perception. If you
can change your perception, you can change
your emotion and this can lead to new ideas.

4. Cricket
Cricket is a sport which almost 90% of us like. So lets start from this:
• Sachin Tendulkar Vs Rahul Dravid
VS
Sachin ---- more successful Dravid ---- technically more sound
Reason was difference in “Perception”
Sachin loved the game. Whereas for Dravid it was just winning or loosing the game.
• Players like Javed Miandad, Inzamam , Sachin , Gilchrist loved and respected the
game. Leaving Pitch before umpire used to declared out in case appeals.

5. Football
Worldcup Final:
VS
Germany enjoying the moment, Argentina
worried about winning the Worldcup.

6. • Perception not limited to Sports, effects our
emotions, commitment and response towards
a certain situations.
For example if anyone amongst you gets a job
and your manager is quiet rude to you, what
would be your perception????

7. 1. Are you in this situation because of any bad
deeds you practised in your past?
OR
2. Are you being tested currently for a reward in
near future or maybe hereafter?
1st --- Negative effect --- commitment
emotion ---- guilt ---- wrong in the past.
2nd --- Motivation ---- emotions reward in
the future, worse the situation better the reward.
