An attorney with more than a decade of experience in labor, education, and other areas of public interest law, Synthia Shilling most recently worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. The recipient of an MA in English from the University of Maryland and an MS in educational leadership from Johns Hopkins, Synthia Shilling spent the first phase of her career as a middle and high school teacher in Maryland’s Howard County Public School System. In the late 1990s, Ms. Shilling enrolled at the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she earned a faculty scholarship and served on the law review staff.
