Facebook Ads They make it easy! “Advertising” link at the bottom of every page Fill out the form Pay by click and set daily budget Lots of “help” and tips available Capitalize on target marketing (FB knows a lot about people and you can tap in to that)
TBPL’s FB Ads Experience Started running ads in February 2010 Variety of success in terms of clicks “Likes” went from 100 to over 500 over the course of a year running ads
Best and Worst Ads Clicks: 0 Cost: $0 Impressions:  5,551 Sep 3/10 – Oct 3/10 Clicks:  340 Cost:  $354.79 Impressions:  1,497,849 Mar 24/11 – April 15/11
Ad Advice Keep tabs on the clicks / budget (if it’s maxing out, considering increasing) You can run multiple ads at the same time, so can experiment with graphics / copy and go with the one that’s working  Mine the data (and “Help”) FB provides
A Few More Tips Use “mash ups” but understand how they work Facebook status (not links) to Twitter Blogger’s widgets (pulls FB status) Savvy vendors (eg. Our online book clubs) Explore the REST of the social Web!
