

Sheriff’s Department for Motor Vehicle Theft,
Escape, Initiation of Meth Manufacture,
Possession of Meth, Felony Possession of a
Weapon, Evading Arrest and Felony
Vandalism

4. Allegations
On January 11,2014, Melton was arrested by
deputies after a search of his house yielded
numerous guns and components of meth
manufacture.
 Melton was placed in the backseat of a patrol
SUV. A deputy was summoned back inside the
residence.
 While the deputy was gone, Melton kicked out
a hole in the plexiglas, crawled into the front
seat and had stolen the patrol car.


5. Allegations
 Melton crashed the patrol car into a wooded
area on Copper Creek Road near the entrance
of the Wildlife Refuge.

6. Description

Melton has a criminal history that
includes aggravated assault, traffic and
drug charges.

Melton is 58 years old, approximately
5’11” tall and about 160 lbs.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

He currently has a goatee.
