This astronomy class will cover many topics about objects in space including the sun, moon, stars, galaxies and more. Students will learn about what these objects are, how far away they are, how old they are, how and why they move, and other questions. The class will involve viewing images and discussing what is depicted in each one. Students will also learn about important astronomers like Galileo and how telescopes have advanced our understanding of the universe.
