My academic background is in theoretical high energy physics and I hold a PhD, studying quantum gravity and early universe cosmology, from UC Santa Cruz. My current role is at Stitch Fix on the Styling Algorithms Research team with the directive of researching and applying machine learning and statistical methods to our fashion recommendation system. I have an extensive background in Deep Learning and have developed numerous production systems for applying computer vision at scale to make robust recommendations that help alleviate the common cold-start issues.
