4. LSGCD’s management strategy
• Large Volume Groundwater Users
(LVGU) to REDUCE groundwater
production by 2016.
• Applies county-wide to all industrial,

commercial and public water suppliers
• Prepare and submit GRP for approval
• Received 42 GRPs
• SJRA Joint GRP accounts for 70 percent
of the groundwater usage.

5. Lake Conroe built specifically to meet our
future water needs

future supply
Necessary to construct new infrastructure
(water treatment plants, storage facilities,
pumping stations and waterlines)
Water has been absurdly undervalued;
days of cheap water are over.
