MODERNIZATION HIGHLIGHTS AND UPDATES
JUNE 2008
Many of the projects outlined in the 2006 Bond have been designed and approved by the Division
of the State Architect (DSA) review process. Some have been completed or are nearing completion
while others are being prepared for bidding and ground breaking this summer. Following are some
highlights and a summary of bond progress.
Sir Francis Drake High School
New Swimming Pool 6-Plex Classroom
Concrete for the swimming pool floor has been
placed and the reinforcing for the sidewalls is in
place. Shotcrete has been placed forming the pool
walls. The void behind the pools walls is being
backfilled, so that the pool gutter wall and deck can
be installed. Work is also underway for the
installation of utilities at the perimeter of the pool.
Main pool circulation plumbing is being installed and
trenched to the mechanical room location. Layout
