Last year, the 1 mill generated more than $161 million dollars (or about 9% of our total budget.)
More than $85 million helped retain over 1,000 teachers. The funding also protects the arts and athletic opportunities we discussed a little earlier.
Since 2010, a proportionate share of funds have been shared with charter schools.
