Editor's Notes

  1. En moins de cinq ans, le jeu mobile s’est développé pour se positionner comme influence majeure dans les domaines de l’éducation et de la formation continue (ALLY, 2009 ; ERMI & MÄYRÄ, 2005 ). Il fait maintenant l’objet de conférences internationales, de publications savantes ( International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation ) et, surtout, de l’émergence d’une industrie qui rapporte 750 millions de dollars aux États-Unis en 2009 avec une augmentation observée du rendement annuel de 20% (AMBIENT INSIGHT RESEARCH,). De nouveaux développements dans le domaine du M-learning et du M-gaming permettent maintenant l’exploitation de la position du joueur ( gamer localisation ), le geo-tagging et le geo-caching (KLOFPER, 2008). La localisation offre de nouvelles perspectives pour enrichir les jeux ainsi que l’apprentissage des joueurs en exploitant leur position et leur contexte spatial « réel ». Le geo-tagging réfère à l’association de coordonnées ou de localisation géographiques à différents médias (texte, photo, documents, etc.). Les balises de géo-localisation peuvent faire appel à la fois à des données GPS, à des informations de saisie telles le code postal, l’heure de capture ou le lieu de saisie. Le geo-caching fait appel au positionnement par satellite afin de permettre aux joueurs de retrouver des objets cachés à divers endroits dans le monde.
  2. Ce qui rapproche les jeux sérieux des jeux de simulation qui sont définis comme un modèle simplifié et dynamique d’un système réel ou hypothétique.
  3. L’essor des technologies de l’information et de la communication a contribué de façon significative aux récentes avancées dans le monde de la science et de la technologie. Le recours à divers outils technologiques (sondes connectées à des interfaces d’acquisition de données, dessin assisté par ordinateur, logiciels de simulations informatisés, etc.) dans l’expérimentation et la résolution de problèmes scientifiques ou technologiques contribue à développer la compétence de l’élève à exploiter les technologies de l'information et de la communication. (Gouvernement du Québec, 2006, p.8).

Bluetooth et 3G (3e generation), etc. Communiquer, collaborer, créer. le CEFRIO a mené la plus vaste étude jamais réalisée au Québec sur les perceptions et les comportements des 12-24 ans face aux technologies de l’information et sur les usages qu’ils en font 91 % des étudiants utilisent un ordinateur pour réaliser leurs travaux à l’extérieur des cours. Seulement 13 % des étudiants du secondaire se servent systématiquement d’un ordinateur en classe comparativement à 33 % au cégep et 29 % à l’université. 46 % des jeunes considèrent que seulement quelques-uns de leurs professeurs disposent des connaissances adéquates pour les accompagner dans leur apprentissage des TI.

  6. Le flux vidéo : Il n'est que pour l'éclaireur, il n'y a que lui qui le voit, et il n'est pas envoyé à la base de données ni à l'ordinateur fixe. Ensuite, il faudrait peut être séparer ordinateur fixe et base de données. En effet, l'ordinateur du commandant se comporte comme un client, tout passe par le serveur, le commandant lui aussi. Il n'a pas accès directement à la base de données. En fait il communique avec le radio la position du géotag. Et le radio le transmet au commandant à l'aide de twitter. Au début du jeu, le commandant connaît les coordonnées des joueurs. Les joueurs doivent réussir un boni (une énigme), une question à choix multiples qui leur donne accès à la capture du bâtiment. Nous avons décidé de positionner une énigme avant la capture afin que les joueurs se familiarisent avec l'interface, l'environnement en général. Si l'énigme est résolue, ils peuvent passer à la prochaine étape c'est-à-dire la capture du bâtiment. Par la suite, le commandant peut positionner ses joueurs autour du bâtiment et ainsi permettre de le capturer. Voilà que le rôle de l'éclaireur est primordial puisqu'il devra vérifier que les joueurs ne tombent pas sur des géotags qui provoqueraient forcément la perte de leur équipe (en crédits surtout).
  7. Après la création de l’équipe des Tags seront mis sur le terrain et surtout autour des bâtiments à capturer.
  8. Après la création de l’équipe, le commandant aura les noms des 3 batiments à capturer (assigner aléatoirememt sauf le 1 er ) ainsi que leurs historiques ( indices et problème).
  9. Les applications dépendent du rôle choisit. Après l’inscription, le commandant envoie la liste des bâtiment à capturer au radio, et ce dernier transmet ce message aux autres joueurs ( cette liste est enregistrée dans le journal). Et le jeu commence !!!

  11. Les joueurs s’inscrivent : 5 rôles différents : un responsable des communications et trois experts chacun ayant sa propre spécialité à savoir : énergie, environnement et matériaux.

  16. Au fur et à mesure, le journal se rempli, ce qui fournie une source d’information ( pour les joueurs qui sont loin du groupe), sur le déroulement du jeu et sur la collaboration des joueurs.
  17. Lorsqu’on est a proximité d’un bâtiment, une option dans le budget permet de voir les informations concernant ce bâtiement.
