– where do i want to lead them, bring them to the

• FB (few second)- blogpost (transionary –
blog, video) - target content (books,
journal) – I take them all the way to the
content = the art of seduction.
• People like simple and stupid - the art of
user’s friendliness
• Donot make noise, make impact

• As an organisation, u also need to deal with
reputational risk and therefore not only
should have the social media strategies but
also the social policies
• The policy of social media, how do u can make
sure can content ? and deal with reputational
control ?
10. What Is a good blog ?
• Have a good title
• Best first paragraph and it is good -We live in the art of fast and superficial
• Structure – u write a screenplay (story line + give them some highlights –
emphasize smt – please include picture – I’m doing a favor 4 u to read a
blog as I’m giving 30’s of my life to u so make it happy)
• story
• human side
• language – donot write the queen English because 80% of readers are not
native speakers-too often u invited native English speakers
• Sentences – no sentences should be longer than 1-2 sentences- people
are lazy and they want to breath
• Please give them some air –break down into many and small paragraph (5
lines each but make them happy)
• No blogpost should be finished without a link to the final products ? – not
this is end station but they are transition- interchange….
11. Microblogging
• 1st generation = Twitter: Most limited space that u can
publish.
• At certain point twitter is nice but it is all published, so
what if we wanna use within organization ?- use
Yammer, lower costs for free for your organizations-
purer internal for organizations + u can invite external
groups and people
• Or Status.net for internal organizations, u can download
and internal and safer for Yammer, running within your
own server and urs own land
• BOING - BOING
13. Blogs
• Why was blog born ? People are tired of the
webmaster (the gods). U can have a god doing
PhD on HTML and web but now Gods forgive
u to create a blog in <1 minute
What flavor of blog do u want ?:
1.Hosted (they do everything for you ?)
2.Self hosted: download software and do it
yourself – do control your own data

• dailymotion.com (French originally)
• vimeo.com (differ from youtube because u
have to pay + better quality but less well-
known)
• blip.tv (better quality compared with Vimeo,
typically bad if you want to embed your vide0
and other)- similar to vimeo so unless u want
to find the high quality movie then use other
thing) – all of them are technical revolutions

• Dropbox (typical example of the edge of social
media)
• Scribd.com
• Yousendit.com
• Mailbigfile.com
17. Social networking
• Facebook: the most unfriendly one, not transparent and very
commercial. User can’ customize it does not look like FB- if
people use FB they tend to follow the link so it is better then
Twitter follower)- they are When u search via google, u will
receive different content priority based on your location,
same search but different result
• In FB, if you are friends of FB but I do not contact and
communicate then it will drop out of my box and appearance
news, I will present what u like and want to hear
• FB is based on interaction, if I’m a cheap organization and try
to use FB and if u do not interact urs priority will be read out,
u have to interact
18. Photos
• Flickr (yahoo)
• Picasa (google): is used only to compress the
file – picassa desktop is the only tool should
be used- quality is much better because other
tool cut the pixel while Picassa used the
extrapolation methods
• creativecommons.org – use can share but u
have to attribute this to me and non-
commercial use
• soundcloud.com- share urs sound
• Podomatic.com
19. Social book marking
• www.delicious.com
• Reddit.com (bookmark – find back all articles –
storeonline what article we read and what we
store all media clips and write about FD and old
days – store a link and public accessible,
pressclip and blog clips) – used this when how
to get your content known – even Obama is
interviewed by Reddit.com

• Want to start weblling the existing content and
people using ww.stubleUpon.com
