1. How does your media product
represent particular social groups
?

3. • This is my cover page picture compared to a picture from
a professional magazine of a similar genre to mine.
• There are similarities between my picture and the
professional picture from Mojo magazine for example the
shot type is very similar as they are both a mid shot this
is a picture from the waist up.
• they are also positioned in a similar place on the page
and have a serious looking facial expression with their
eyes looking directly at the camera. they are also both in
casual dress with casual short styled hair and in a similar
what seems natural lighting as both of these pictures
were taken in an outdoor setting .

4. • However they are also quite different because of the
colors used in the pictures , although i did make the wall in
my picture black and white I did want some color so my
magazine would look more eye catching and interesting.
• In my photo shoot I did not use any props like there are in
the professional picture for example the cigarette , I did
this so the attention was not take away from my model .
• Both people are wearing casual clothing however the
clothing on my model would probably appeal to a younger
audience however the model on the professional cover is
wearing clothing that would probably appeal to an older
audience.

5. • This may appeal to a certain audience as this style of
picture and clothing that can represent a group as it is
more casual , this then makes it more relatable to young
teens that are use to the rock / pop genre as the image is
not made to look perfect or unreal like many pictures that
are in the media at the moment . I think these to images
are represented in this way as it makes the model seem
more down to earth and relatable In the way that they are
presented like normal young people that aren't
manipulated to look like the usual pop star , this may then
relate to a group that is into more indie pop or rock music
like Q does which was the main inspiration for my
magazine , this also makes it available to a large
audience as the genre is so broad .
