From the Director’s desk
The MCSPCA appreciates all of the volunteers,
donations and local support we receive each year.
We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy
holiday season. If you are looking for a way to
continue to donate, our immediate needs are
the following:
• Canned food for kittens and adult cats (Friskies,
Fancy Feast, 9-Lives)
• Purina Cat & Kitten Chow dry food
• Clumping or fragrance free
non-clumping clay litter
• Small paper boats available at GFS
• Good quality hay for our horses
• Paper towels
• Bleach (must say kills 99% of germs)
• Laundry detergent
• Dish soap
• Gift cards (Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus, gas
stations, TSC, Centerra)
• Scratchers for the cat cages. Order them here
“http://www.stretchandscratch.com/”
(For the safety of our pets, we cannot use the following items:
electric blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, mattress pads, any
woven, crochet or knitted items, human toys. Food not on our
wishlist will most likely be donated out to other organizations as
to not upset the stomachs of the animals currently in our care)
All items can be dropped off or mailed to the shelter.
Amazon is a great place to purchase. Don’t have time,
we can make the purchase for you.
Feel free to make a donation in person or online at
www.medinacountyspca.com. Our address
is 8790 Guilford Road, Seville, Ohio 44273.

3. Hi, my name is Leah. I am looking
for a forever family to love!
She’s a darling little girl weighing in at just 33 pounds!
Leah will be looking for a new home soon. Starting
January 5th she will be available for adoption. Please
contact us at the Medina County SPCA if you are
interested in adoption.
Leah is a sweet dog but for best results we are asking
that she go to a dog free home or to a home with dogs
smaller than herself. We do not know her history with
cats at this time.
So if you are looking for a fun energetic pup with a
heart of gold, consider adopting Leah.

Deb Billesbach,
7-Year Anniversary
Deb began working at the Medina County SPCA in
December of 2012. She knew she wanted to adopt a
dog, so what an amazing opportunity to find the perfect
pup, Boggie (otherwise known as Happy). He was a
six-year-old black lab that was brought in the day after
Christmas. She fell in love with him and two weeks
later he was in her car headed to his forever home.
Boggie lived another wonderful 7 years before he went
over the rainbow bridge. A year after adopting Boggie
she also adopted Scarlett, a very thin active one-year-
old flat coat border collie.
She now works with cats and dogs, cleans dishes,
washes cages, folds laundry, feeds the cats, walks the
dogs and enjoys just spending time and playing with all
the animals at the shelter.
Deb has become very active in education. Many
groups come to our shelter to see what we do, find out
what our mission is, and most importantly, how they
can take care of and treat all animals.
Deb says, “The hardest part of volunteering is not
taking a new animal home every month.”

6. My name is Lars and
I am ready to be adopted!
I look like a tough guy but really I am a total
softy who loves my little scratches and pets. If
you are patient I will come see you if you visit the
MCSPCA. So if you know someone who would
like a cat like me – a little shy because I’m scared
here, but very nice and desperate for love – can
you please send them my way? Tell them
to ask for Lars, that’s me!
Adoptable Animals

We have cats at Petsmart
that would love to meet you!
You know, sometimes you just need a little black
kitten with golden eyes. And sometimes, a little
black kitten with golden eyes just needs you!
Barbara needs a forever home. That’s a place filled
with kindness, and care, and love and... every-
thing! Come visit me at the Medina Petsmart today.
If someone adopts me before you get there, there
are other kitties who would like to meet you!

11. We could use your help please!
We recently took in 47 female rats from a
less-than-wonderful situation. Unfortunately, the
girls were housed with males, so now we’re on
“pregnancy watch” with them before anyone can
be adopted out. Donations of the following items
would be most appreciated: quality rat food–pellets
or cubes preferred (nothing with dried corn in it,
please.), bedding–either paper-based or aspen
chips. We’re going through alot of bedding.
