In social networks people often wear masks. Then again, in life we present different elements of our real self to different people. The big questions were: How do you know who is real? What can you give of your "real" yourself but still keep you safe? Created for the Bregman Conference for adults with developmental disabilities.

- 9. 9 Facebook Safety Rules 1. Don’t post your address or phone number on your profile and only list the date of your birthday—not the year 2. Block and report anyone that sends you unwanted information If it feels wrong then it probably is. 3. Never give your Internet password to anyone. Not even your best friend. 4. Be careful about downloading extra applications for your Facebook page. Check to make sure there are lot's of other people using it and check to see if people have comments about it. 5. Do not accept all ‘friend requests’. If you don’t recognize the name or picture, say no to the friend request 6. Be careful of what you post on your wall. Make sure you don’t give away too many personal details such as when you are going away on a holiday. 7. Filter Your Photos - make sure that you are okay with the world seeing the pictures you post. Even your boss or your mom. 8. Be careful when you click links that you receive in messages from your friends 9. Remember that everything you put on Facebook is forever.
