6/07 to Present: Regional Construction Project Manager:
New Store Project Responsibilities: Work with Real Estate group to determine feasibility of a site with preliminary site plans. Arrange Phase 1-2 for new sites
& environmental survey. Manage due diligence & entitlements, utilizing a civil engineering firm to prepare submittals. Attend Planning & Zoning, City
Council, design review committee, and community meetings, explaining the scope of the project and working through community requirements. Steer
consultants to satisfy local requirements in a cost-effective manner which conforms to city, county, and state requirements. Check all plans and proposed
building elevations for adherence to development master plans and planned unit developments. Partner with developers in co-developed sites, sharing
specifications and checking adherence to standards and establishing scope of work for both parties. Review Development Agreements and Purchase & Sale
Agreements in order to protect the company from unreasonable demands and represent our interests with right to review & approve changes. Estimate scope of
project & submit for corporate approval. Redline A&E documents for omissions, errors, and best design. Manage consultants to follow up with municipalities
to track submittal, review, and permitting status. Create overall project schedule. Prepare bid documents & bid project, and draft GC contract. Purchase all
FF&E and national accounts items i.e. structural steel, RTUs, hollow-metal doors, skylights, refrigerated cases, and display fixtures. Inspect weekly progress &
conduct weekly on-site project meeting with GC & principal subcontractors. Ensure adherence to plans & specifications through inspections personally &
contracted materials testing. Personally supervise all colored concrete pours in store. Work with on-site GC to resolve plans conflicts & best sequence the work.
Review RFIs as needed and all change order proposals for validity & fair pricing. Address any new retail initiatives & incorporate into the new store based on
feedback from District Manager & Division Executives & Merchandisers. Create punch list upon completion to be completed within 30 days of Grand Opening.
Complete project on time & within budget. Conduct warranty walk within 12 months of opening to address any workmanship or material defects. Work with
maintenance supervisors to provide background & direction to address issues during routine store operation.
Remodel/Expansion Project Responsibilities: Verify existing conditions of store, create redline of latest plan, measuring all clearances & departments within
the store, noting equipment locations, model, and serial numbers & submit to store planning for drafting. Arrange asbestos testing, HVAC test & balance, and
roof survey. Develop scope of work for remodel, walking the store with the management & A&E consultants. Create an estimate for the proposed work and
submit the project for corporate approval. Create an overall phasing plan to sequence remodel work in order to be most efficient & least disruptive to an
operating store. Redline A&E plans before submitting to municipalities for permit review. Prepare bid documents and overall project schedule, review bids &
award project. Prepare GC contract and purchase all Owner-provided FF&E and national accounts equipment. Manage consultants to follow up with
municipalities to track submittal, review, and permitting status. Conduct pre-construction and project kick-off meetings with GC & store personnel. Inspect
construction progress on a weekly basis, checking adherence to plans & specifications and impact upon store operations. Conduct a weekly meeting with the

• Compiled actual costs for 34 remodels, 3 expansions, and 5 new stores for purposes of estimating & published to web-based project management platform,

• Set up all initial SiteFolio contractor & consultant contacts & a page for 145 stores & 55 fuel stations in the Division, trained PMs & contractors in
SiteFolio use
• Developed & managed minor capital projects for Meat & Produce departments, impacting 48 stores for Meat & 65 stores for Produce, conducting multiple
projects concurrently.
8/06 to 12/06: Military Transition Team Battle Captain & Targeting Officer: Responsible for maintaining a 24 hour US command center within the 2nd
Brigade, 9th
Division Iraqi Army headquarters and operation of the Command Post of the Future.
• Maintained constant situational awareness of all significant actions in sector, movements, convoys, and missions, coordinating for any necessary assets.
• Prepared and, when necessary, delivered the Military Transition Team Chief’s daily update brief to the US brigade commander.
• Worked with Iraqi Army officers to execute future missions based on US and Iraqi intelligence gathering to interdict terrorist cells and activities.
• Implemented a tracking program for US tasks to the Iraqi Brigade, resulting in 100% compliance with all assigned duties from the Brigade commander to
the Brigade.
1/06 to 8/06: Military Transition Team Augment Chief: Responsible for three Humvees with associated weapons and 13 personnel to conduct patrols and
conduct oversight on the 2nd
Brigade, 9th
Division Iraqi Army executing operations. Acted as US-Iraqi liaison for forces in Saab al Boor, assisting the Iraqi
forces in creating the defense plan for the city.
• Conducted approximately 150 combat patrols within north-central Iraq, escorting Iraqi soldiers going on leave, circulating the battle space, and checking
on Iraqi static positions.
• Maintained US presence in Saab al Boor to assist Iraqi Army and refined their steady state operations by implementing patrol schedules and guard rotation.
• Implemented a Sergeant of the Guard system with 1st
Mechanized Battalion at a national highway checkpoint, which allowed them to independently check
on their soldiers without need of US oversight.
• Became a trusted advisor to the Iraqi Army by building great rapport with Iraqi officers through cultural understanding and learning basic Arabic.
6/04 to 1/06: Assistant Battalion S-4: Responsible for procurement and purchasing at the battalion level, managing the company credit card program as
Billing Official, tracking critical shortages for over 800 soldiers in an armored battalion and filling shortages through logistics channels, providing logistical
arrangements for training in garrison and the field, and supervising the creation of the deployment equipment list for the battalion and movement of equipment
to a combat theater.
• Investigated theft of Army equipment valued at $2.5 million, which resulted in its recovery.
• Procured three pallets of equipment vital to support a Quick Reaction Force mission for the battalion, including 1600 sets of chemical suits and a five day
supply of bottled water.
• Acted as Real Property holder for all 1-66 Armor Battalion buildings, headquarters, and barracks, ordering keys and managing work orders when
necessary for building repairs.
• Approved or denied every purchase by company credit cards, overseeing a $25,000 monthly purchasing program and submitted all purchases to the
division comptroller without any audits or returned purchases.
6/03 to 6/04: Tank Platoon Leader: . Platoon Leader for a fully digitized tank platoon consisting of four Abrams Main Battle Tanks and a total of $63 Million
worth of Army equipment. Responsible for the warfighting readiness, morale, discipline, and quality of life for 15 soldiers. Responsible for the tactical
employment of armor platoon and completion of missions given by the company and battalion commanders.
• Executed over 1,500 hours of mounted patrols with four tanks, securing three airfields and a battalion base.
• Patrolled and secured the previously heavily attacked Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline, the only functioning oil export in Iraq, resulting in revenue of millions of
dollars a day for reconstruction.
• Maintained tanks and equipment worth in excess of $63 million with 96% operations rate in a combat theater while putting >25,000 km mileage on all
tanks
• Successfully managed the movement and accountability of equipment back to U.S. from Iraq without a single lost piece of equipment.
1/03 to 6/03: Headquarters Platoon Leader: Responsible for the warfighting readiness, morale, discipline, and quality of life for five soldiers. Responsible
for the operational readiness of two flatbed trailer trucks, three Humvees, and two large cargo trucks.
• Safely convoyed all battalion headquarters trucks across all of Iraq, never taking casualties or loss of equipment in spite of 11 flat tractor tires on the trucks.
• Maintained 100% operational equipment for two months without any parts resupply.
• Engineered first field shower and latrine for soldiers in the battalion deployed in Mosul, Iraq.
9/02 to 1/03: Second Lieutenant, Armor Officer Basic Course (AOBC): Developed technical and tactical skills needed to operate, maintain, employ all
current armor platoon weapons and equipment. Learned leadership skills such as organization, professionalism, administration, and how to train, supervise,
motivate and evaluate personnel.
• Commandants List maintaining a 90% or higher on all written and practical examinations.
6/98 to 6/02: West Point Cadet, United States Military Academy:
• Dean’s List for Academic Excellence for 8 semesters.
• Vice-President of USMA Cadet Band
• Maintained 3.45 GPA & inducted into Phi Sigma Iota for foreign language excellence.

Acted as US-Iraqi liaison for forces in Saab al Boor, assisting the Iraqi forces in creating the defense plan for the city. • Conducted approximately 150 combat patrols within north-central Iraq, escorting Iraqi soldiers going on leave, circulating the battle space, and checking on Iraqi static positions. • Maintained US presence in Saab al Boor to assist Iraqi Army and refined their steady state operations by implementing patrol schedules and guard rotation. • Implemented a Sergeant of the Guard system with 1st Mechanized Battalion at a national highway checkpoint, which allowed them to independently check on their soldiers without need of US oversight. • Became a trusted advisor to the Iraqi Army by building great rapport with Iraqi officers through cultural understanding and learning basic Arabic. 6/04 to 1/06: Assistant Battalion S-4: Responsible for procurement and purchasing at the battalion level, managing the company credit card program as Billing Official, tracking critical shortages for over 800 soldiers in an armored battalion and filling shortages through logistics channels, providing logistical arrangements for training in garrison and the field, and supervising the creation of the deployment equipment list for the battalion and movement of equipment to a combat theater. • Investigated theft of Army equipment valued at $2.5 million, which resulted in its recovery. • Procured three pallets of equipment vital to support a Quick Reaction Force mission for the battalion, including 1600 sets of chemical suits and a five day supply of bottled water. • Acted as Real Property holder for all 1-66 Armor Battalion buildings, headquarters, and barracks, ordering keys and managing work orders when necessary for building repairs. • Approved or denied every purchase by company credit cards, overseeing a $25,000 monthly purchasing program and submitted all purchases to the division comptroller without any audits or returned purchases. 6/03 to 6/04: Tank Platoon Leader: . Platoon Leader for a fully digitized tank platoon consisting of four Abrams Main Battle Tanks and a total of $63 Million worth of Army equipment. Responsible for the warfighting readiness, morale, discipline, and quality of life for 15 soldiers. Responsible for the tactical employment of armor platoon and completion of missions given by the company and battalion commanders. • Executed over 1,500 hours of mounted patrols with four tanks, securing three airfields and a battalion base. • Patrolled and secured the previously heavily attacked Iraq-Turkey oil pipeline, the only functioning oil export in Iraq, resulting in revenue of millions of dollars a day for reconstruction. • Maintained tanks and equipment worth in excess of $63 million with 96% operations rate in a combat theater while putting >25,000 km mileage on all tanks • Successfully managed the movement and accountability of equipment back to U.S. from Iraq without a single lost piece of equipment. 1/03 to 6/03: Headquarters Platoon Leader: Responsible for the warfighting readiness, morale, discipline, and quality of life for five soldiers. Responsible for the operational readiness of two flatbed trailer trucks, three Humvees, and two large cargo trucks. • Safely convoyed all battalion headquarters trucks across all of Iraq, never taking casualties or loss of equipment in spite of 11 flat tractor tires on the trucks. • Maintained 100% operational equipment for two months without any parts resupply. • Engineered first field shower and latrine for soldiers in the battalion deployed in Mosul, Iraq. 9/02 to 1/03: Second Lieutenant, Armor Officer Basic Course (AOBC): Developed technical and tactical skills needed to operate, maintain, employ all current armor platoon weapons and equipment.
