1. Missing
Jaws – some detail but too much key info missing. We are introduced to the boy who chases
her – what does he represent? The beach party that they leave – connotations? Running past
the fence – what does that connote? The actual attack – subjective camerawork, editing,
music????
Insidious – much better analysis with thought into how director has introduced narrative and
used genre conventions.
Woman in Black – some good detail on beginning – could have added detail on how props are
now associated with horror genre.
Nightmare on Elm Street – good detail on how sound has been used to create atmosphere.
Good detail on props and location. More detail needed on camera and edit.
2. Some info into chosen genre but not enough detail given. What are the key conventions? What
are the landmark films, actors, and directors? Slides added to give some more info. Key
conventions added. Images or links to trailers/clips would have been effective. Good addition
of horror key conventions – fantastic detail. Only thing missing are key films/directors/actors
and images.
3. Some information as to the age of potential audience but no real detail on other interest they
may have.
4. Missing. Good effective script with links to genre. Narrative introduced.
5. No second draft. Mind map of initial ideas added. Title suggestions added with detail on
decisions. Good post on how ideas developing.
6. Missing Added. Good detail with shot type/movement added. Simple but effective.
7. Very good detail on shotlist
8. Good detail for cameras on layout but nothing on actors.
9. Location missing. Good images and detail added on how locations will be used in film.
10. Information and Images needed. Good detail on how costume will link to characters. Images
included.
11. Detail and Images needed. Good detail added with images with links to narrative/genre and
characters.
2. 12. Information and Images needed. Detail added with justification for starring in the film and how
appearance will link to genre archetypes. Needs images.
13. Equipment missing. Good detail added on equipment needed and how/why it will be used.
14. Very good detail on schedule with equipment, actors, costumes, location and props
