auto parts or aftermarket car parts?
What is the difference in OEM and aftermarket car parts?
Before you can order the auto part your vehicle needs, you must decide whether
you want to purchase an OEM auto part or an aftermarket auto part.
OEM auto parts are made by the manufacturer of your vehicle. For
example, if you need a part for your Toyota car, an OEM auto part would
come directly from the Toyota factory.
Aftermarket car parts are made by third party companies other than the car
manufacturer.
Both of these types have their pros and cons and we’ve laid them out for you!
What kind of auto parts should you purchase from our Charlotte Toyota
Parts Center?
If you have the time and need to save some money then aftermarket car parts
would probably be your best bet. These auto parts are usually priced less
expensive than the OEM auto parts because they are made by competitive third-
party companies rather than the manufacturer. Typically, aftermarket car parts in
Charlotte are just as good as OEM auto parts
Unfortunately, finding the right one may cost you some time. Since the industry is
competitive, there are a lot of different companies and businesses making the
same parts. It may require research like reading reviews and comparing prices
before you find just what you’re looking for.
For a more expensive price and a possibility of difficulty, you could get a higher
quality product straight from the manufacturer. OEM auto parts are a little pricier
than aftermarket car parts, but you get what you pay for! Typically, OEM auto
5. parts like genuine Toyota parts in Charlotte come with warranties. For example, if
the part was faulty or wore out down the road you could possibly have it replaced
for free!
The only drawback besides the higher price tag is the OEM auto parts can be
harder to find. This is especially true if your car has been discontinued. Car
manufacturers continue making parts for years after a car is discontinued, but
eventually they stop.
Don’t forget to check if the warranty on your vehicle approves for the use of
aftermarket car parts. It’s especially important that when you’re leasing a new car
that you only replace auto parts with what is approved under your leasing
contract. If you do not use approved auto parts, you may be charged heft
amounts when it comes time to return your lease.
