The WedgeGuard from Triodent is the latest addition to their
acclaimed V3 system. It is designed to protect adjacent

teeth during cavity preparation. The metal protector is
attached to a conventional Wave-Wedge which means it
does not have to be discarded once the restoration phase
of the treatment has been reached. Instead, the metal
protector is simply removed from the Wave-Wedge, which
is then used to adapt the Tab Matrix to the gingival floor of
the cavity, without the additional expense of having to use
a different wedge. Various research papers report that
iatrogenic damage to adjacent teeth can be in excess of
90% irrespective of the use of magnification.
