BDO Global implemented a consistent website template on a Kentico CMS platform hosted on Microsoft Azure to provide online presence for its over 1,300 offices in 154 countries. The universal responsive template allows each member firm to customize local content while maintaining a coordinated global brand presence and sharing of thought leadership content. The global rollout was supported through development of specialized teams, pilot testing, training and defined governance for ongoing hosting, support and content input across the worldwide BDO network.

12. Exchange content worldwide
The Content Delivery Network and hosting through Microsoft Azure will allow all BDO
firms worldwide to make use of the new web template, including selected content,
while the speed (page load times) of all the web sites remains optimal.
BDO is providing its firms with standard format English language site and the ability to
add multiple language sites. They can also avail themselves of a central image bank
but can of course add both customised content and imagery for their local markets.
The firms are also able to set permissions to make selected content available locally or
internationally.
15. Continuous support during the change process
The development, implementation and transition of all new BDO web sites was a large international
change process. It was therefore also important to provide consistent support, globally.
As a result, joint, specialised teams consisting of BDO and TrueLime personnel are responsible for
development, hosting, global ICT support and roll-out. In addition, the BDO Global Office
communications team is responsible for internal communication to all BDO Member Firms.
16. The support includes also:
• An extensive pre-launch analysis phase which involved ten pilot BDO firms in different countries,
acting as user experience test teams.
• The development of a bespoke CMS manual for the BDO template.
• Bespoke training courses on the BDO template to supplement the Kentico-provided CMS online
training.
• The creation of a governance structure, in which centralised and decentralised responsibilities are
defined for hosting, support and content input.
