Present simple tense

   Positive form           Negative form            Question form

  I sweep the floor.    I don’t wash dishes.       Do I iron clothes?
You sweep the floor. You don’t wash dishes.      Do you iron clothes?
 We sweep the floor. They don’t wash dishes.     Do they iron clothes?
They sweep the floor. We don’t wash dishes.       Do we iron clothes?
She sweeps the floor. She doesn’t wash dishes.   Does he iron clothes?
He sweeps the floor. He doesn’t wash dishes.     Does she iron clothes?
       It rains.           It doesn’t rain.         Does it snow?
With the present simple, we often use adverbs of frequency
            to say ‘how often’ we do something.
            Here’s a list of common adverbs:


       I               always          do homework
     You              sometimes        do homework
      We                usually        do homework
     They                often         do homework
      He                seldom        does homework
     She                 rarely       does homework
       It                                  rains


        How often do you do your homework?
1. In pairs, ask and answer. What do you do
                 at … o’clock?
2. Tell what your partner does at … o’clock.
