A number of advance response mechanisms are available for control oil spills and minimizing their impacts on human health and the environment. The key to effectively combating spills is careful selection and proper use of the equipment and materiaLs best suited to the type of oil and the conditions at the spill site. I am sorry and embarrassed that I haven't gotten back to you sooner, with things around here the priorities were changing as Operations needs did.
Last week, we received word that we are no longer supposed to pursue any type of barrier boom tactics -
However, we are still planning to have some biorestoration test sites in the marshes so I have forwarded your product to the folks there to take a look at. It may help them with isolating areas
and marking them if they have that need. Again, I apologize for the lateness of this note.

Thank you so much for getting back to me with the information. I am going to forward your information to some folks in Wildlife Operations. I think it may have some applicability for cleaning
manitees, should they get oiled. Since they are so large, we may not want to transport them to a facility, so may need to do it in an enclosed area that is easy to deploy in the water. I will

Posting: refers to 6’ steel T- post, spacing should be 4-5 ft. apart and 5-6 ft. in low stress areas the average post depth in the soil should 2’ to 2.5 sometimes companies run a

Attachment: refers two generally accepted methods to properly securing the fabric to the Steel T-posted
1- Open water- using a 10-12’ falt boat, run a T-post or tree branch through the middle of the cardboard core and secure the T-post with baling wire to the back of the boat in
the front of the last seat leaving the fence fabric to unroll freely, the area between the back seat and the transit with be the area to store all tools are a tool box. 1- The
employee's will secure the bitter end of the Spill-Fab Enviro-Fence to a T-post by making a full wrap fabric around the T-post, using 3 pieces of 6” in length baling wire " cut to a
point " which he can be pre cut employees can hang them to the straps of his life jackets, he will than be the employee on the front side of the fabric his job will be to punch the
wire through the fabric starting at the top, then the middle, then an arm's length below the water surface, the employee on the front side will pull tight on the fence fabric as
moves backward while stepping on the fabric leaving a 4-6 in over lay on the ground under the water surface this method and the backward movement of the boat will tighten the
Spill-Fab Enviro-Fence. The 2nd person on the back side will help pull on the top of the fence and twist the ends of the wire with a flat tip wire cutter, he will make sure to bend
the tips to the side, once attached to the first post. The 3rd employee will slowly back the boat up as the fabric will unroll on the inside of the flat-boat, employee's can then
begin securing the fence fabric to the remaining T-Post
2- Swamp run a T-post or tree branch through the middle of the cardboard core leaving the fence fabric to unroll freely, secure the bitter end of the Spill-Fab Enviro-Fence to a
T-post by making a full wrap fabric around the T-post, using 3 pieces of 6” in length baling wire cut to a point , 1- employee on the front side of the fabric will punch the wire
through the fabric starting at the top, then the middle, then 5” from the ground surface while moving backwards he steps on the fence fabric to help tighten , the 2nd person on
the back side will help pull to tighten the fence as he twist the end of the wire with flat tip wire cutter, while he makes sure to bend the tips to the side, once attached to the first
post 2 other employes slowly pull backwards while helping to tighten the Spill-Fab Enviro-Fence then all employees will begin securing the fence fabric to the remaining T-Post
