Healthfields are redeveloped areas focused on healthcare services that can drive economic growth. A case study from Tampa, Florida showed how redeveloping an area in East Tampa into a "healthfield" centered around a new medical campus and health services generated new jobs and businesses, helping revitalize the long-struggling neighborhood through a smart growth redevelopment strategy.
