Objectives of the Working Groups
1. Platform for Fostering Alliances - User Requirements
- bringing together the disaster management and space communities
- collecting information on the specific needs of end-users
2. Platform for Fostering Alliances - Horizontal Coordination
- outlining a horizontal coordination framework as well as recommendations on how
to maximise these opportunities to the benefit of developing countries
3. Knowledge Portal
- provide valuable technical and conceptual input that will contribute to the definition
and development of the SPIDER Knowledge Portal
4. Knowledge Management and Capacity Building
- design a capacity building framework specific to disaster management activities,
especially in developing countries
