EVENT-1: PAPER PRESENTATION
Paperpresentationare amongthe bestwaysforpublic demonstration and global exposure of new and
innovative ideas. SAGSC 15 provided the participants with the unique platform and as per our
assumptions we got to know some of the very brilliant ideas. Paper Presentation day-1 was the first
official eventafterthe honoraryguestlecture of Dr.C. H Mehta whichtookplace justafterthe inaugural
ceremony. Altogether four papers were presented on the first day.

In one sight, the overall performance of the participants appeared balanced and they were able to
maintain the standards of presenting a technical paper.
EVENT-2: WORKSHOP BY EMGS.
Dr. Deepankar Borgohain, Regional Sales Manager- South Asia, EMGS conducted a very informative
workshoponCSEM technologyanditsapplications.The workshopexpandednew horizonsof knowledge
for the students who made the most of the opportunity. The videos shown in the workshop further
cleared the complex concept with absolute ease.
The manner of conducting the workshop was student friendly. The students appeared to be taking
rigorous notes as they found the topic to be extremely interesting.The workshop was just not basic
teaching,lateronan interactive sessionwasconducted duringwhichthe students cleared their doubts.
3. It was an absolute delightforall those curiousmindstofindexposure tothisshower of knowledge. The
workshop was successfully conducted.
After the workshop was wrapped up, Dr. D.K Gupta, HOD, Petroleum Engineering and Earth Sciences
Department, presented the mementoes to the dignitaries and Dr. Pushpa Sharma, Faculty Advisor,
UPES-SEG student chapter presented the certificates of appreciation.
To conclude the day, the participants were made to team up in groups of six and were made to play a
game.The challenge wastobuildthe tallestandstrongesttowerwithnewspapersandstraws.The game
was simple yet very interesting. It enhanced the importance of team work among the students.
