- A building that’s more than 40 years old that houses 12 departments is bound to have some issues, and this building has plenty. I’m going to let some other Weber State community members tell you about those issues now. IN CASE VIDEO DOES NOT WORK Systems at the end of their useful life Over $3.5 million in deferred maintenance No additional capacity in systems Building Pressure Issues Inadequate fire suppression & detection systems Contaminated air intake Galvanized Water Piping Does not meet current ADA requirements No student study or gathering spaces Ineffective and outdated teaching spaces – a lot of them!
