In a rectangular bed it is easy to mix the

16. Materials Needed
• Instead of using cement, use steel sheets plus
bamboos sticks for the support of rectangular
bed.
• Tools Needed: Hammer and punch, Cutting
plier, Crowbar, Rake, thin steel wire
19. How to do it
Step:1 Identify the location to set up the bed ,
Were the resources are freely transferable.
Step:2 Level that area by digging (or) spreading a layer of soil
20. • Mark the dimensions of the bed on the ground
using measuring a tape. (8Lx4wx3 cu ft)
21. • Put the markings for bamboos at regular
intervals (2ft apart) on the ground

crowbar to put the
bamboos

23. • Put a mark on the steel sheet with a marker
for inserting the wire to be tied to the
bamboo sticks
• Create a hole at the marked place on the steel
sheet with a nail and hammer

sticks kept outside and tie it up (with the help
of the wire) to the bamboos
25. • When the bed is ready, fill half of the bed with
the waste (garden and kitchen waste)
• Water it properly
• Shift it to other side of the bed on the next
day and so on for better mixing
