2. what is the preliminary task
• Preliminary task is the guideline and understanding of the
technique been used for the planning of their entire movie
and opening sequence.
3. SUCCESSFUL PRELIMINARY TASK
This preliminary task is successful
because it uses low angle shots to
hide the identity of the character.
It have a narrative which shows
the time of which the incident
happened and uses point of
view shot to illustrate where
the character is going.
4. WHAT LEVEL I WOULD GIVE AND WHY
• The level of rating I would give is level3 because they
used variety of shots and had quality graphic and
technique to support them throughout their preliminary
task.
5. POOR PRELIMINARY TASK
• I think this is poor because it doesn’t
use any variety of shots and its too basic
because the only shot I think they had
was a distance shot of the door but I like
the connection the characters tried to
create between them.
6. WHAT LEVEL I WOULD GIVE AND WHY
• The level of rating I would give is level1 because I
think is very basic and they didn’t have enough or
variety of shots.
7. WHAT POOR PRELIMINARY TASK CAN DO
TO IMPROVE
• They have to pay much attention to shots and
also find more appropriate materials to
match their task.
8. WHAT I HAVE LEARNT AND HOW IT HAS HELPED
ME PLAN MY OWN
• I have learnt to use lots of variety shots and
also pay attention to the compositions and
mise-en-scene.
• It has helped me plan mine because both two
preliminary task has given me the idea of
what I need to include and what I need to
avoid when it comes to planning preliminary
task.
