7. New Feature: ‘On This Day’ to Relive Memories of the Past
Facebook always remain place to share
good memories. People always look back at
old photos, status updates & albums in
which they were tagged.
With this new ‘On This Day’ feature, you
can easily see past status updates, photos,
posts from friends and other things you’ve
shared or been tagged in – from one year
ago, two years ago, and so on.

Facebook is ideal place to share photos
of cute children.
Facebook introduced a Scrapbook
feature, using which you can organize

location.

9. Video Calling in Facebook Messenger

Video Calling feature in Facebook
Messenger.
Right now, Video calling is available for Android and iOS users in selected
countries only, This update will be rolled out to other regions in upcoming
months.

Instant Articles load in Facebook itself
as much as ten times faster than
standard mobile web articles.
Instant Articles is a great tool for big

Facebook has released new light version
of its Android app.
Facebook Lite uses less data and also
works well with slow network
connections.

Feed, status updates, photos, notifications
and more.
12. Sign Up on Messenger Without a Facebook Account
Do you want to use Facebook Messenger? but
you don’t have Facebook account.
Don’t worry, now you can sign up for
messenger without using a Facebook
account.
From the welcome screen of the app, you can
choose to sign up with your phone number
instead of Facebook account and use all
features of Facebook Messenger.
13. New Updated Controls for News Feed
You can manage your Facebook News feed according to your
choice using these new controls.
You can set newsfeed to see the content first from your
favorite pages and people. You can unfollow people to hide
their posts without unfriending them. Also, you can reconnect
with them in future.
Further, you can discover new pages according to your
interests.
14. Introduction of 360-Degree Videos
Facebook went one step ahead and introduced not
just videos but 360-degree videos.
360-degree videos can be helpful for publishers to
effectively display their messages.
As of now, Star Wars, Discovery, GoPro, LeBron
James & Uninterrupted, NBC’s Saturday Night
Live, and VICE are already using 360-degree
videos to give a unique experience to their fans.
15. Introduction to New Reactions
Instead of just one Dislike button, we got
number of other reactions that can be used as a
response to your Facebook friend’s posts.
Now, you can add any of these six different
reactions namely "like, "love," "haha," "yay,"
"wow," "sad" and "anger" to Facebook post.
Each reaction comes with a corresponding
emoji and you can only add one reaction to a
given post.
16. Introduction to New Reactions (Continued...)
Like is also part of these reactions so, you can’t “like”
and “love” the same post.
This feature is rolled out for the Facebook users of
Ireland and Spain only.
Facebook didn’t confirm when other users will get this
new feature but it will likely depend on how people
respond to the initial test.
17. Introduction of Live Video
Earlier in December-2015, Facebook has began
testing live videos on Facebook.
Facebook started the experiment with a
small percentage of people in the US on
iPhones.
In the future, most of the Facebook users can see
live videos from their friends and liked brand &
celebrity pages right in the News Feed.
18. Call to Cab Directly from Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger didn’t just remain the app
for chatting with friends using text, video and
stickers.
As shared in previous slides, now you can send
money to your friends via Messenger.
Recently in Mid-December, Facebook added
new feature in latest version of Messenger app.
19. Call to Cab Directly from Facebook Messenger (Continued...)
This new feature allows users to request a ride
from Facebook’s first Transportation partner Uber.
To request a ride, choose Transportation by
tapping more menu within a conversation then tap
car icon.
This service is available to selected users of United
States where Uber operates. Facebook is planning
to add more countries and other transportation
partners in the future.
