5. This project report on graphic design in fashion has been created, developed and designed by me,
during my study of diploma in fashion designing, NSQF level 5 of NSDC. In this project I have talk over
how elements of design affect the designs, with the use of Corel Draw. It is important to understand
and know the use of elements of design. The findings of the study can be helpful not only for fashion
designers but also graphic designers who have use these elements into their creations. I request you
to kindly go through my project pages. As A learner in this field I have tried my level best to bring out
the best of my knowledge gained at Dezyne E'cole college.

converging effect of zig zag lines
emphasize direction and are seen on
necklines, yokes and fabric pattern . V
shaped lines widen and slenderize. The
deeper the V of the diagonal lines, the
more slender the effect it gives.
11. Straight Lines
Straight Lines are seen on seams, yokes,
fabric patterns, garment edges, darts,
panels, zipper, tucks, rows of buttons
and braids
Curved Lines emphasize body curves
and counter thinness and sharp angles.
Found on pockets, collars, scalloped
edges, seams gathers, they produce an
effect of feminity, gracefulness

Texture usually describes the nature of
the surface, which we can judge by our

differently when we touch sun mica or
smooth marble. When we transfer these
feelings on a two dimensional surface, it
is called a texture in design.
Texture are two types; Tactile and Visual
