Title:“Minimization in Forging Scale formation in Crankshaft”
Role: Team Leader
Area of Exposure: Crankshafts are the most important loaded components in the case of an automobile. In order to achieve required
mechanical properties most of crankshaft can be forged from a steel bar usually through roll forging in ductile steel. The scale formation means
during hammering some types of Flash is Produce in this flash material loss is happen. This is happens because of present of Oxygen. This layer
of anti-scale compound barriers between the metal and oxygen. Due to that we are reducing scale-loss in the crankshaft. Our aim of this project
is to minimize scale loss at minimum stage and reduce cost.
Title: “Effect and Analysis of different variables on Induction hardening process”
Role: Team Leader
Area of Exposure: Heat treating is a core manufacturing competency and can best be defined as “The controlled application of time,
temperature and atmosphere to produce a predictable change in the internal structure (i.e. microstructure) of a material.” Heating medium carbon
steel by means of an alternating magnetic field to a temperature within or above the transformation range. Followed immediately by quenching.
