Coal is a fossil fuel and is the dirtiest of them all.

waves; 2020 was one of the hottest years on record.

19 of the 20 warmest years on record have occurred
since 2001.

Arctic sea ice extent has been decreasing at an alarming rate of
approximately 13.2% per decade since the late 1970s.
Effects
The Antarctic ice sheet is losing mass at an accelerating rate, primarily
due to melting from below, which contributes to global sea-level rise.
