14. Steps to Post Information Sign in to your Google account Go to Google Maps and “Create new map” Type in a title and decription Grab placemark and drop at the outcrops or photo locations Type in a title and description in the dialogue box Add photos

16. Create new map Searched for “Rocky Arbor State Park”

17. Select Satellite view and locate photos

18. Grab placemarker and drop it at outcrop

19. Type in a title and description in the dialogue box.

20. Add Photos to Google Maps Open a new browser tab or window In the new tab, go to Picasa or your favorite online photo site http://picasaweb.google.com/home Select upload photos and either select or create a new album. Choose file and find the photo you want to upload and click on the Choose button Select Link to this Photo. It’s on the right hand side. Copy the text in the embed image box. Go back to Google Maps, Outcrops in Wisconsin. By the description, select “edit in html” Paste the embed image text into the box. Click Okay Click Save and Done

21. In the new tab, go to Picasa or your favorite online photo site

22. Select upload photos and either select or create a new album.

23. Either select or create a new album.

24. Select Choose file

25. Find the photo you want to upload and click on the Choose button

27. In the album, select the photo for the outcrop and click on Link to the Photo

28. Copy the text in the Embed image box

29. Go back to Google Maps and select Edit HTML

30. Paste the Embed image text into the dialogue box and the click OK

31. Click Done and Save

32. You’ve just done some geology everyone can see and use Questions Comments Make us collaborators and we’ll post your map.
