On our planet less than 1% of the water is freshwater. Contaminated water can have microorganisms Bacteria, Protozoan, Viruses These microorganisms can make someone very sick, even cause death. This poor sanitation leads to nearly 3.575 million people deaths each year from water related diseases.
3. Who Does it Affect? Millions of women and children have to walk miles to reach a source of water, and often these sources are polluted. This polluted water can lead to disease in men, women, and children all throughout villages across the globe.
