2. OREO
All my life I wanted a cat. I
wanted someone to be as
moodswingy as me, and someone
who will just listen to me when I
rant about school. I just wanted a
cat so much.
It was a few nights after Ondoy
when my sister spotted this little
kitten about to get eaten by a
local Rottweiler on his daily walk.
My sister knew how much I wanted
a cat, and decided to save the
little kitten’s life and at same time
make a little girl’s birthday wish
come true.
The rest is all history. I’ve been
with Oreo for about a year now,
and she has been the sweetest
everrr
“Some people will think cats aren’t
as lovable as dogs, but cat owners
will tell you these mysterious
animals can be sweet and
playful.” –Cats and Kittens

5. TIGERS
Did you know the
Siberian tiger is the
biggest cat in the
world? They are also
one of the largest
meat-eating animals in
the world. The heaviest
Siberian tiger was
recorded at weighing
465 kilograms! That’s a
lot! Tigers live in
southern and East Asia.
They live in forests,
woodlands and
swamps. They used to
live in larger areas, but
humans built houses
and farms on much of
the land.
6. LIONS
They say the lion is the
king of the jungle, when
they don’t even live in the
jungle! They live in a
savannah. The savannah is
dry, flat and open land.
They live in prides, often
consisting of four-six
females and one or two
males. The females are
usually the ones that hunt,
but if the prey is big, the
males come in and help.
They hunt during the
morning or night, when it’s
cool. Once it has its meal,
it doesn’t need to eat
again for several days.
7. CHEETAHS
Cheetahs are the
world’s fastest land
animals. They can run
up to 105 kilometers!
But they only have 30
seconds to catch their
prey before they run
out of energy.
The king cheetah is
a rare mutation of
cheetah
characterized by a
distinct fur pattern. It
still has spots but it also
has stripes. They also
have a mane.
8. JAGUARS
Jaguars are very
good swimmers. Of all
cats, they are the ones
that love water the
most. They like to live in
swampy areas or
places that flood during
the rainy season.
They have really
powerful jaws. So
powerful, it can pierce
the shells of armored
reptiles.
Jaguars are mainly
found in Central and
South America.
9. LEOPARDS
Many years ago, it
was believed that a
leopard was a hybrid of
a lion and a panther,
because its name which
is a Greek compound of
lion and male panther.
Leopards climb trees
to rest or eat their food in
safety. Leopards kill prey
that is bigger than them.
They are excellent
climbers and are strong
enough to carry their
prey up a tree, away
from other hungry
animals.
10. COUGARS
The cougar is also
known as a mountain
lion or puma. They are
not known as women
who like dating much
younger men. So please,
do not be confused.
In places where
humans built their homes
near the cougar’s
natural habitat, people
have been attacked by
these cats.
They like to eat deer,
elk, moose and bighorn
sheep.
11. CUBS
A big cat’s offspring
is called a cub. There
are usually between
two and four cubs in a
litter. Cubs need their
mother’s milk for the first
few months, but
gradually they start to
eat meat. Tiger cubs
hide behind their
mothers for safety.
Adult male tigers will kill
any cub that is not their
own. Less than half of
the tiger cubs in the
wild live to the age of
two years old.
12. HOUSE CATS
Dogs used to be
the number one pet in
the world for a long
time, but now, cats
are the number one
pets. Many people
find cats easy to take
care of: they don’t
have to be walked,
bathed, and they can
be left alone for a day
or two.
13. KITTENS
Kittens are very
playful and curious,
and they bite a lot,
since they’re teething.
If you want your kitten
to be friendlier, let it
be around other
people so it gets used
to humans. But don’t
scare it with your
‘AWWW’s.
