Profile
I am a professional IT Project and Services Manager with strong analytical, problem-solving
and organizational skills. Using structured methodologies (Prince2 Practitioner) I manage
projects from scope, through risk and resource management on to delivery on time, within

risks raised by the Group Internal Audit function in the Bank. These risks covered the entire
infrastructure estate (Mainframe, Unix, Data Communication and network perimeter
technology). My projects involved working with on shore and off shore teams on Data
Communications and Network perimeter technologies. I had to set up teams to process large
volumes of connectivity information for security, currency and appropriateness. I then
managed the recommended changes through to closure of the risk.

The Insolvency Service of Ireland Feb 2014 – July 2014
The Insolvency Service of Ireland (ISI) had a number of projects and work streams active as it
set up its services while managing cases and regulating the new services providers. I was
asked to establish the exact number and status of these activities and to implement project
management structures. I reported to the Director and had an active role in some high profile
projects.

Central Bank of Ireland Sept 2012 – Dec 2013
The Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) has completed a major IT transformation project. I was
engaged to manage two large work streams. The first covers the Operational readiness of the
bank’s service management (ITIL) processes. Information Security was also covered under
this work stream and involved the alignment of policies and standards in the new
environment.
I was responsible for the project Risk management function. I identified recorded and
managed through resolution and closure the Risks, Issues, assumptions and dependencies
for the project.
The second work stream involves migration of the current DR capability to a new purpose
built environment. The existing plans were amended through a phased implementation over
several months. After the final phase a full DR test was planned and executed. The
successful DR Test was a key deliverable for the project.

Sureskills Ireland 2011 – 2012 (8 Months)
United Drug – Infrastru cture Projects Manager (3 Months)
Sureskills were engaged to manage a number of major projects with United Drug. I was
managing the Infrastructure projects. The main projects are a Data Centre build and
migration, an Active Directory integration of multiple domains and establish ‘trusts’ with
remote business units.
The Data Centre build involved working with IBM servers, EMC VNX storage, VMWare, Cisco
network and ASA firewall technologies into a hosted environment. Communiction links to
facilitate auto failover to existing data centre for disaster recovery.
Active Directory (AD) involved bringing remote business units onto or establishing trusts to
allow group wide sharing through Intranet, mail and sharepoint. This project involved working
with local exchange and system administrators (some Lotus Notes sites). Also involved
working with network resource to allow access to remote networks.
Global Learning Services – Projects Manager (5 Months)
Sureskills are developing and delivering technical training courses for a major client. I worked
with client project/ portfolio managers, local project office, Instructional Designers and subject
matter experts to deliver multiple projects on time, to quality and within budget. Courses are
developed using the ADDIE model. Sureskills have successfully delivered courses to Train
the Trainers (TTT) and on site to the client’s technical sales staff.
As part of the project office set up I moved project materials to a central Sharepoint site from
dispersed repositories (local network, Shares, FTP site).
IT Project Manager
HP Enterprise Services 2010 – 2011(6 Months)
An Chéim Computer Services provide IT services to the Institutes of Technology throughout
Ireland (14). HP Enterprise Services provide the infrastructure and managed services to An
Chéim. An Chéim engaged HP to upgrade existing IT infrastructure as part of Agresso and
Digitary Application upgrade projects. These projects involved working with HP PMO and
Change Control systems and the following technologies. HP Blade Servers, ESX VMWare,
Win 2008, RH Linux, Citrix (XenApp), Oracle, Java, Cisco and Checkpoint.
Agresso: Is the financial support application used in all the Institutes. HP installed 18 Physical
and 43 Virtual Machines across 3 environments (Production, Test and DR). The first institute
went live on 14/02/2011.
Digitary allows the publication on line of student’s certificates and qualifications. HP installed
4 Physical and 4 Virtual Machines (Production only). 1.5TB disk storage in EVA SAN. The
new infrastructure was installed and configured by February 2011
The Railway Procurement Agency (RPA) engaged HP to assist with the integrated ticketing
scheme. As part of this we had to install new infrastructure to house the Business Intelligence
system (PASS). This project involved working with the following technologies. HP DL380
Servers, HP Starter SAN, Red Hat Linux and Oracle.
RPA PASS infrastructure was successfully installed in February 2011

company. Based in their IFSC office I was engaged to work on the transfer agency
administration application (Mshare) upgrade project. I worked with BNY Mellon’s PMO and
change management to successfully complete the upgrade.
MShare implemented successfully in August 2008.

Babelgum is an integrated web, mobile video and IPTV content platform provider. I was
brought in by the IT Operations Director to help with ongoing infrastructure projects (Data
Centre Network and build, Data links, Active Directory, Remote Offices VPN, VOIP, Office
relocation, etc)
Staging environment (UAT) allowed proper release management processes to be put in
place.
Active Directory allowed corporate wide shared infrastructure (Mail, Directories).
Local file and print services installed in regional offices (Nice, London & Milan)
Office move from Digital Hub to East Point Business Park.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) IT Services supported Bank of Ireland (BOI) IT infrastructure.
I was engaged by HP (Technical Solutions) to work with a BOI subsidiary, Bristol & West, on
a relocation of its IT infrastructure (UNIX) from UK to sites in Ireland.
Plans agreed with Bank to facilitate the implementation and switch over of services to Dublin
before the end of July 2007.
