1. Painting my door
stop.
October 19th 2010,
Tuesday.
Today, I painted most of
my doorstop, and sanded it a
little. I spent most of the time
on painting my door stop with
acrylic paint, and I changed the
design a bit because it was
really hard for me to draw a
circle with paint.
I used the paint brush,
acrylic paint, nail block, and a card board for painting, and I used a sand
block, a not so rough sand paper to sand the surfaces of my door stop.
The figure at right was me painting.
I changed my design, quite a lot. It’s very hard for me to paint a
circle on a piece of wood with paint, I tried to make the circle look good,
but I didn’t success. So, I changed my original design a lot, the color,
the graphic on it.
I need to sand my wood piece several times more, and paint my
door stop carefully, and detail the part I’ve done drawing.
For the nail board, of course it’s dangerous. So the safety issue
for that would be don’t play it a round to hit people.
I was happy in the lesson. But, I was frustrated while painting,
because I can’t get the perfect color and paint properly.
I would choose human ingenuity for this lesson. Design is of
course using creativity to make stuff up!
2. For learner profile, I choose communicator. Because,
communications can be between graphics, between paints, not only
language.
