Appropriate assessment strategies have the potential to support children’s individual learning needs, and they can help teachers see evidence of the effect of their teaching, while also providing a measure of program accountability. Additionally, it is also important to realize that assessment practices have the potential to do harm. Just as there are concerns about inappropriate curriculum content and teaching strategies, there are concerns about assessment. NAEYC has created guidelines that specifically address the early childhood professional’s ethical responsibilities to children around assessment. Here are the principles and ideals that focus on assessment in NAEYC’s Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment (Links to an external site.) . To begin this assignment, Read the weekly assigned reading and carefully review methods of data collection including anecdotal records, running records, event sampling, time sampling, checklists, and rating scales. Next, select your three most preferred methods of authentic assessment. Review the following document which highlights the ideals and principles specifically referring to the responsible assessment of young children found within the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment. Next, in your initial post, Discuss why you, as a program administrator, would promote these approaches to assessment in an early childhood program you were administering. Provide at least one example of the negative consequences for children when programs use inappropriate child assessment tools or strategies (such as using an assessment tool incorrectly or interpreting assessment data). Most of the research organizations rely on a variety of methods for promoting integrity in the research. They establish organizational components to comply with regulations imposed by an external environment. They offer educational programs to teach the elements of the responsible conduct of research and they implement policies and procedures that delineate the normative practices of responsible research and establish criteria for rewards and recognition; and they develop processes to evaluate and enforce institutional behaviour. To establish a basis for organizational learning and continuous quality improvement, organizations should simultaneously implement processes for evaluating their efforts to foster responsible conduct of research. Education in the responsible conduct of research should be no less integral to the education of a researcher. Educational abilities are complex combinations of motivations, dispositions, attitudes, values, knowledge of concepts and procedures, skills, strategies and behaviours. These combinations are dynamic and interactive, and they can be acquired and developed through both education and experience. When National Academy of Science committee advocates the promotion of integrity in the institutional research environment, it is advocating the creation of a climate in the institution, the department, and the research group that promotes integrity in research.

1 Training Plan for New System Implementation Training Plan for New System Implementation As the training manager for a healthcare organization with 250 employees, I have been asked to determine the skills required for the new IT system that will be implemented in the purchasing department. I have been asked to suggest a needs analysis process and supply recommendations for how to address organizational constraints related to time and performance. I will find the linkages between performance, training and needs and recommend the best option for the needs analysis and a training design. Needs Analysis Training needs analysis (TNA) is "a systematic method for determining what caused performance to be less than expected or required. Performance improvement is the focus of training" (Blanchard & Thacker, 2013, Chapter 4). The result of performing a TNA will be to ensure that the training involved with the new IT system is targeted and effective. Through the TNA I will be able to see what content is currently missing and how I can deliver consistent training. Costs, organizational needs, training methods and competencies will need to be evaluated in order to determine what skills are required for the new IT system in the purchasing department. First I will develop a workforce profile in order to determine the skills and knowledge that will be required. I will be capturing education levels, experience and even literacy of current employees for statistical meanings. Then, compliance regulations will be reviewed and met. After the educational needs of each employee in the purchasing department have been captured, the training will be sourced, analyzed and mapped so check for gaps and any related impacts. This step is extremely important as it will allow us to find what is working and what is not as far as the training. Finally, I will provide my report that recommends and advises on the most effective training methods and products. Recommendations for Organizational Constraints (Time and Performance) The likelihood of having some type of time and performance constraint will be inevitable. As far as time constraints, currently there have not been any; however there may be performance constraints. The ability for employee(s) to retain information varies. It is of course almost impossible to never work, but it at least defines an ambition: to abolish wage labor and the commodity form. It was and remains a surprisingly popular ambition. The cycle of struggles in the overdeveloped world in the late twentieth century took it as their lodestar, whether unwittingly or not. The whole counterstrategy of making work seem like some- thing else, like play even, stems from the boredom that both wage labor and the commodity form generated. This boredom is spreading even to what was once called the underdeveloped world. By their tens of millions, peasants left the land, in China and else- where, and in some cases ended up in the factories that make the world's commodities. But it's getting harder to keep them there. The riots and suicides at Foxconn are just the tip of the iceberg. Nobody much likes to do this sort of work if there's any option. In the overdeveloped world, work is only one of the ways of creating a value chain and extracting a profit. The more advanced form of spectacular economy extracts value from play.
