Monitoring Sinkhole Evolution
In February of 2014 a sinkhole opened and swallowed eight rare Corvettes at the National Corvette Museum. Since then, a diverse team of professionals have been working to better understand the collapse, and how to prevent it in the future. Monitoring Nuclear Waste
In Cumbria, England – experts are attempting to safely decommission highly radioactive nuclear storage ponds.
Despite the harsh conditions, the open ponds appear to intermittently bloom with a range of microorganisms that cloud the water. An EXO2 deployed with a ROV has greatly reduced the amount of time individuals have to spend at the ponds collecting samples.
