8. WHAT IS SAAS?
Software as a service (or SaaS) is a way of delivering applications over the
Internet—as a service. Instead of installing and maintaining software, you
simply access it via the Internet, freeing yourself from complex software
and hardware management.
SaaS applications are sometimes called Web-based software, on-
demand software, or hosted software. Whatever the name, SaaS
applications run on a SaaS provider’s servers. The provider manages
access to the application, including security, availability, and
performance.

10. PAAS
PaaS (Platform as a Service), as the name suggests, provides you
computing platforms which typically includes operating system,
programming language execution environment, database, web server
etc.
PaaS is analogous to SaaS except that, rather than being software
delivered over the web, it is a platform for the creation of software,
delivered over the web.
Examples: AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Windows Azure, Heroku, Force.com,
Google App Engine, Apache Stratos
12. IAAS
IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), as the name suggests, provides you the
computing infrastructure, physical or (quite often) virtual machines and
other resources like block and file-based storage, firewalls, load balancers,
IP addresses, virtual local area networks etc.
Examples: Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Google Compute Engine
