SELECTED ACADEMIC PROJECTS
12/2015 – 05/2016 Hyper-Image development tool | Undergraduate final project
Created a tool that allows the authoring of hyper-images. This Java software implemented
and improved the Watershed image segmentation algorithm and achieved better
segmentation result.
10/2015 – 01/2016 Fast Facial Expression Analysis with Landmarks | Research Assistant, Tsinghua Univ.
Optimized algorithm using a ‘one to many’ SVM with 15% accuracy increasing compared
with previous work. Maintained and modified the code,
06/2015 FTP Client Based on Linux System
Designed and built an FTP client application for file upload/download with active and
passive data transfers.
04/2015 3D Modeling based on OpenGL
Built a 3D fish model under different light resources, animation behaviors and textures,
using OpenGL. Obtained full marks in this project.
03/2015 Parking Management System | Group Leader
Used multiple software engineering techniques such as agile development and design
patterns for a parking system in Java. Coordinated with other two members for the work
process, coding and debugging.
09/2014 Electric Piano | Group Leader
Wrote a C program to implement the inner functions of the MCS-51 single chip
microcomputer. This program served as the kernel for an electric piano with 12 keys.
INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
05/2016-07/2016 Zmodo | Algorithm Intern
Collected and preprocessed the image datasets to meet engineers’ requirements. Participated
in daily group seminar. Assisted the mentor to manage their RCNN training process.
09/2015 ZTE Corporation (ZTE Internship Base) | Intern
Practiced the technical skills such as SDH modulation, Wi-Fi optimization, LTE and others
Conducted experiments of PON, SDH, data transfer and others.
07/2014 AIESEC Voluntary Work in Senegal, West Africa | Volunteer
Taught high school students English, shared Chinese culture with them as well.
