2. Motivation
“Life is a meal after another”.

We propose to design and make a platform on which
people can post their work of dishes, share and
discover recipes, communicate with each other based
on food. In our app, user can share their stories of
foods, and their procedure of making delicious. It is also
a social network that users can interact with and make
friends with other users who share a common appetite
of food.

Our app is a social network platform focused on receipe sharing
and discovering.

1) Recipe sharing
Cooking food is actually a kind of art. And people love to share
their creation. Our app would focus on sharing dishes. Besides
sharing pictures of their work, users could choose to upload their
recipe. The recipe would include the whole package of how to cook
a nice dish. Users can choose to post their cooking procedures, as
pictures with text descriptions, step by step to show other users how
to cook this dish. Together with the recipe, the ingredients needed
are also listed. So if other users like the dish, they can easily cook
one themselves.

2) Recipe discovering
Users may want to eat some kind of foods, but they
don’t have in mind how to cook it. Then they can go to
our app, we provide a user-friendly navigation for them
to discover the kind of food they prefer. They can
choose one if they like and cook it themselves.

3) Social Interaction

Users may find some other users share the same appetite of food
with them. If so, we provide users some ways to interact with other
users. First, they can send a friend invitation to that user. After they
become friends, they can more interactively share food with each
other. For example, if one of your friends post a new recipe, you will
be notified of that. And you can see that recipe at fist time. Second,
if they like the recipe other users posted, they can put “like” tag to
this recipe. The more like a recipe has, the more popular the recipe.
Third, you can put comments under the recipes of other users.
Fourth, we also provide location service. You can find the users who
is nearby and if you want, you can invite to your home to cook
dishes together with you.
