books

New Science 1
• It is organized by topics (matter).
• It starts telling a story or fact relationed with
the topic (ice sculptures in Sapporo, Japan)
and some questions about the story.
• Then it continues with a theoretical
explanation and some direct, understanding
and applying questions about it.
• The relational vocabulary and grammar is
included in each topic.
• It is accompanied by real pictures.
• At the end, it provides a choice of revision
and extension activities.

• It structured on topics of the daily lives.
• It starts with a picture and a short
explanation about the main idea of the topic.
• There are theoretical explanations and
readings about the theme.
• The relational vocabulary and grammar is
included in each topic.
• It is accompanied with drawings.
• It works with different skills (understanding
information, learning to read, learning more
and doing projects)
• There are review and extension activities at
the end.

• It is organized by speaking topics.
• It shows a clear trend towards
communication.
