3. BRANDON HARPER:
He will have one costume, although it’ll be seen in two different ways
during the film. For the majority of the production he will be wearing: a
torn blood stained vest; this is to show that he has been tortured, the
blood stains show how long he has been there and been tortured for
and the blood shows how severe the torture was. He will blood also be
wearing stained torn jeans; this also shows how he has been severely
tortured, it makes it more believable that he has been tortured and
abused, they are worn to show he has been there for some time. In
addition to the jeans and shirt, he will be wearing a pair of worn down,
torn trainers with some blood splatters on them; this is add to the
overall effect of trying to successfully convince the audience that he
has been tortured, and complete the image. He will also been seen at
the party where the rape and abuse he done happens, and at the party
he will be seen in the same outfit, but it will not be worn or torn and will
not have any blood stains on any of it, although he will have a shirt on
top of the vest.
4. MARIE JANE:
She is only seen in one costume, she will be wearing: colored trousers
(chinos); this is to represent how young she is as it is the type of
clothing only youngsters would wear. She will also be wearing a
brightly colored, short-sleeved top, (which will be not be showing her
breasts); this is to represent the party atmosphere and keep with the
whole image of youthfulness, and putting emphasis on her innocent
nature. She needs to be represented as young and innocent throughout
the images shown of her, that’s why her costume will aim to maximize
that thought and representation. As the film progresses, she is seen in
the same outfit, in the same party, although she has been raped and
abused, for that she all her clothes will be creased, tattered and torn,
and there will be a few blood stains on her top.
5. SARAH STACEY:
Her outfit will be similar to ‘Maries’ outfit to show
that they were two young innocent girls at the
party. She will also be wearing colored trousers
(chinos) and a short sleeved shirt, which has no
revelation of her breasts; to keep with the idea
of them being innocent, youngsters at the party.
It also adds to the sympathy and pity given to
‘Marie’ as it makes it even more unlucky and
tragic, her ordeal.
6. GEORGE BROCK:
He is not featured in the film for long, and he is
meant to represent a friend in the party,
therefore he will be wearing: a pair of blue
jeans, trainers (blue), and a brightly colored tshirt (polo). This is meant to be a casual party
outfit; it’s meant to be representative of the
whole party atmosphere; and therefore make
the scene as believable as possible.
7. TERRY OSBOURNE:
He is only in the film for a small duration, and it is
for the images of the party where the horrific
crime is committed. He will be wearing a black tshirt; a blue pair of jeans; and white trainers, a
casual outfit. This is to keep with the party
setting, and to show that it was just meant to be
another casual party, making the group friends
look innocent.
8. JOSEPH JANE:
He is meant to be a figure of mystery, fear, and power in the situation, and
his costume needs to keep with this ideology. He will be wearing a long
black coat; it goes below his waist but above his knees keeping with the
‘mysterious’ look; he will also be wearing black shoes; these will be the
first thing Brandon sees, and it would not be clear to the audience until
the film goes on, it builds suspense, and shows a sense of
professionalism adding to the representation of power and dominance;
he will have a white shirt on; completing the smart professional look
and overall completing the mysterious, powerful representations trying
to be portrayed.
