3. There are many ways an artist/ artists can promote their albums. Internet Television Billboards Magazines One example is Scouting for Girls Album advert. This can be viewed on the internet or television. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiLglQ_-NbQ The advert is just the right length, the public will remember the advert but won’t get bored whilst watching it. Scouting for girls have used quotes for popular newspapers and magazines. By using there own music throughout the targeted audience will recognize the hit singles, hopefully then going out to buy the album.

5. Chosen Magazine We have chosen to use NME magazine. There are limited choice of music magazine in the shops/ on the internet. Unfortunately from the research we have done most magazines appear to be aimed at the Indie/ Rock genre. Top of the pops magazine would have been perfect for the artist we are using but unfortunately this isn’t being published anymore. We have had to look carefully into which magazine we thought would best suit Vicky’s music. NME also publishes articles about La roux and other pop genre artists. NME will suit the genre of our music. NME is modern and is sold in most news agents.
