2. 1. TERRORISM

3. Islaam prohibits horrendous acts (bombings and other acts of terrorism) and does not condone this awful behavior.

4.  If anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind , Allaah says in the Qur’aan about those who kill innocent people: and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind .  Suratul Maidah 5:32 أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا

5. Prophet Muhammad  stressed the prohibition of killing women and children on many occasions, even at times of war. Sahih Muslim

6. "Stop, O people, that I may give you ten rules for your guidance in the battlefield. Abu Bakr  , the first successor to the Prophet  established a detailed set of rules for Islaamic conduct in war: Do not commit treachery or deviate from the right path. You must not mutilate dead bodies . Neither kill a child, nor a woman, nor an aged man. Slay not any of the enemy's flock , save for your food. You are likely to pass by people who have devoted their lives to monastic services ; leave them alone ." Bring no harm to the trees , nor burn them with fire, especially those which are fruitful.

7. Allaah says in the noble Qur’aan:  Do not kill yourselves.  Surah An-Nisa’ 4:29 What about suicide bombing? وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ أَنفُسَكُمْ

8. Prophet Muhammad  said: “ Whoever intentionally kills himself will be punished in the fire of Hell , wherein he shall dwell forever. ” Narrated by Bukhaari and Muslim What about suicide bombing?

9. 2. FOUR WIVES

10. Polygamy - a system of marriage whereby one person has more than one spouse. a. Polygyny - where a man marries more than one woman. b. Polyandry - where a woman marries more than one man. Polygyny is allowed in Islaam. Polyandry is not.

11. Islaam did not introduce polygyny. David - 12 wives, 3 concubines - (1 Samuel 18:27, 1 Chronicles 3:1-5, etc.) Moses - 2 wives - (Exodus 2:21 , Numbers 12:1) Solomon - 700 wives and 300 concubines - (1 Kings 11:3 , Song 6:8 , 2 Kings 10:1) Abraham - at least 3 wives - (Genesis 16:3, Genesis 25:1-6)

12. The Qur’aan is the only religious scripture in the world that says, ‘ marry only one ’ . فَانكِحُواْمَاطَابَلَكُممِّنَالنِّسَاءمَثْنَىوَثُلاَثَوَرُبَاعَفَإِنْخِفْتُمْأَلاَّتَعْدِلُواْفَوَاحِدَةً  Then marry those that please you of women, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then (marry only) one.  Surah An-Nisa’ 4:3

13. Polygyny protects the interests of women and children in society. It requires men to spend on their additional wives and their offspring.

14. Only a minority (10-15%) of Muslims practice polygyny because of additional financial and psychological burdens of handling more than one family.

15. Western claim to monogamy is FALSE. In the West today, most married men have extramarital relations with mistresses, girlfriends and prostitutes.

16. 3. HIJAAB

17. The woman in the West has become a sex- object with which to sell products thereby pumping up the sexual tension of the society.

19. The Hijaab is to make the Muslim woman known in the society as a virtuous and honorable woman.

20. 4. MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE KA’ABAH

21. The Ka’abah is the Qiblah i.e. the direction Muslims face during their prayers.

22.  We have certainly seen the turning of your face, (O Muhammad), toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. قَدْ نَرَى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَاء فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضَاهَا فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّواْ وُجُوِهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram . And wherever you (believers) are, turn your faces toward it (in prayer).  Suratul Baqarah 2:144

23. It is important to note that though Muslims face the Ka’abah during prayers, they do not worship the Ka’abah.

24. 5. ALLAAH – A PAGAN GOD?

25. - Allaah is the Arabic proper name for The Almighty God: Our Creator الله

26.  Indeed, your Lord is Allaah , who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. إِنَّرَبَّكُمُاللّهُالَّذِيخَلَقَالسَّمَاوَاتِوَالأَرْضَفِيسِتَّةِأَيَّامٍثُمَّاسْتَوَىعَلَىالْعَرْشِيُغْشِياللَّيْلَالنَّهَارَيَطْلُبُهُحَثِيثًاوَالشَّمْسَوَالْقَمَرَوَالنُّجُومَمُسَخَّرَاتٍبِأَمْرِهِأَلاَلَهُالْخَلْقُوَالأَمْرُتَبَارَكَاللّهُرَبُّالْعَالَمِينَ 

27. He covers the night with the day, chasing it rapidly; and ( He created ) the sun , the moon , and the stars , subjected by His command. Unquestionably, to Him belongs the creation and the command ; blessed is Allaah, Lord of the worlds.  Al-A’raf 7:54

30. 6. SPREAD BY THE SWORD

31.  Let there be no compulsion in religion: The right course has become clear from the wrong.  Suratul Baqarah 2:256 Allaah tells us in the Qur’aan: لاَ إِكْرَاهَ فِي الدِّينِ قَد تَّبَيَّنَ الرُّشْدُ مِنَ الْغَيِّ

32. Muslims ruled Egypt, Palestine and Lebanon from the 8th century and sizeable Christian communities continued to exist over the past thirteen centuries. The areas conquered were put under Muslim administration and the populations were free to maintain their own beliefs.

33. The largest Muslim country in the world today is Indonesia , having over 200 million citizens, never saw a Muslim soldier. Islaam spread there and in Malaysia and Philippines by trade .

35. Islaam is the fastest growing religion in America today with anywhere between 300 and 500 reverts daily. This is taking place without any soldiers .

36. 7. TOO MANY PROHIBITIONS Haraam!

37. Only Allaah (The Creator) knows what is best for His creation. He sent down revelations and legislations in order to guide mankind to what would enable them to lead a happy and successful life, both in this world and in the hereafter.

38. Common sense and a careful analysis on the wisdom behind the various legislations would in itself explain why Allaah prohibited certain things.

39. Alcohol Gambling “ Red wine good for the heart? ” “ Easy money? ” Examples:

40.  They ask you about wine and gambling . Say, " In them is great sin and (yet, some ) benefit for people. يَسْأَلُونَكَعَنِالْخَمْرِوَالْمَيْسِرِقُلْفِيهِمَاإِثْمٌكَبِيرٌوَمَنَافِعُلِلنَّاسِوَإِثْمُهُمَآأَكْبَرُمِننَّفْعِهِمَا But their sin is greater than their benefit . ”  Suratul Baqarah 2:219

41. 8. ACTIONS OF MUSLIMS

What does Islaam teach?  And ( mention, O Muhammad), when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, وَإِذْقَالَلُقْمَانُلِابْنِهِوَهُوَيَعِظُهُيَابُنَيَّلَاتُشْرِكْبِاللَّهِإِنَّالشِّرْكَلَظُلْمٌعَظِيمٌ  "O my son, do not associate (anything) with Allaah. Indeed, association (with him) is great injustice."  Surah Luqman 31:13

43.  And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents .  وَوَصَّيْنَاالْإِنسَانَبِوَالِدَيْهِحَمَلَتْهُأُمُّهُوَهْنًاعَلَىوَهْنٍوَفِصَالُهُفِيعَامَيْنِأَنِاشْكُرْلِيوَلِوَالِدَيْكَإِلَيَّالْمَصِيرُ  His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years. Give thanks to Me and to your parents , unto Me is the final destination.   Surah Luqman 31:14 What does Islaam teach?

44.  “ O my son, establish prayer , enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. يَابُنَيَّأَقِمِالصَّلَاةَوَأْمُرْبِالْمَعْرُوفِوَانْهَعَنِالْمُنكَرِوَاصْبِرْعَلَىمَاأَصَابَكَإِنَّذَلِكَمِنْعَزْمِالْأُمُورِ  Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allaah with no exemption. ”   Surah Luqman 31:17 What does Islaam teach?

45.  " And turn not your face away from men with pride , وَلَاتُصَعِّرْخَدَّكَلِلنَّاسِوَلَاتَمْشِفِيالْأَرْضِمَرَحًاإِنَّاللَّهَلَايُحِبُّكُلَّمُخْتَالٍفَخُورٍ  nor walk in insolence through the earth.  Verily, Allaah likes not each arrogant boaster. ”  Surah Luqman 31:18 What does Islaam teach?

46. وَاقْصِدْفِيمَشْيِكَوَاغْضُضْمِنصَوْتِكَإِنَّأَنكَرَالْأَصْوَاتِلَصَوْتُالْحَمِيرِ   “ And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice ; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys."  Surah Luqman 31:19 What does Islaam teach?

47. إِنَّاللّهَيَأْمُرُبِالْعَدْلِوَالإِحْسَانِوَإِيتَاءذِيالْقُرْبَىوَيَنْهَىعَنِالْفَحْشَاءوَالْمُنكَرِوَالْبَغْيِيَعِظُكُمْلَعَلَّكُمْتَذَكَّرُونَ   Indeed, Allaah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives What does Islaam teach? and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression . He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.  Surah An-Nahl 16:90

48. What is expected from Muslims?  O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islaam (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islaamic religion) and follow not the footsteps of Satan . Verily! He is to you a plain enemy.  Suratul Baqarah 2:208 يَاأَيُّهَاالَّذِينَآمَنُواْادْخُلُواْفِيالسِّلْمِكَآفَّةًوَلاَتَتَّبِعُواْخُطُوَاتِالشَّيْطَانِإِنَّهُلَكُمْعَدُوٌّمُّبِينٌ 

49. Make a distinction between the perfect teachings of Islaam vs what certain individuals do because of their shortcomings

50. سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت أستغفرك و أتوب إليك ‘ How perfect You are O Allaah, and I praise You. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You.
