- Disintermediation: Translators working together in an online environment Internet bandwidth around the world is fast enough (host server based tools on Amazon e.g.) LSP‘s working directly with the translator, no more SLVProductivity: Online memories and glossaries within the collaborative enviroment only support disintermediation. Acceptance is increasing significantly. Machine translation is providing 20% - 30% productivity gains when used properly. Cost of Technology: No TMS can support all file formats. Engineering and professional services required. Other tools, which are much cheaper, provide workflow and automatiion. Value is what is provided to make the technology work.
